Ich habe die besten Erfahrungen gemacht, wenn man den Wobbler ganz durchschneidet und dann zusammenklebt. So kann man ihn sehr gut mit Blei austarieren. Das Zeug hat viel Auftrieb. +xxxmirekxxx1 OK , Jan , ....vielen Dank für den Tip, ......ich schnitze ja meine Wobbler in einem Stück und schneide dann mit 'ner Trennscheibe einen Bauchschlitz 'rein , in den dann Drahtsystem und Bleifolie eingeklebt werden . Hatte bei meinen PUR-Platten dann aber immer das Problem , das wenn ich den überschüssigen Kleber nach dem Aushärten entferne , ich mir meistens Macken und Beulen in den Bauch fräse oder feile , das sieht dann immer ziemlich unsauber aus ! Bei mit Propionat versiegeltem Holz passiert das nicht , da das Werkzeug nicht so leicht in die harte Propionat-Oberfläche eindringt . Ich habe früher 'mal einige wenige Holzwobbler aus zwei Hälften gebaut , hatte die beiden Hälften vorher mit zwei oder drei Zahnstochern verstiftet , damit die Hälften während der Montage immer wieder gleich und bündig zusammenpassen . Ich werde 'mal schauen , ob das Obomodulan sich genauso verhält wie mein PUR-Hartschaum , ...wenn ja , werde ich solche Wobbler dann auch nach deiner Methode bauen , dann dürfte es diese Problem nicht mehr geben , denn man braucht ja dann nur noch überschüssigen , feuchten Kleber abzuwischen und fertig ! +61diemai Bitte , bitte :-) Nix zu danken. Einen Wobbler aus 2 Hälften zu bauen, ist einfacher, als einen Wobbler mit dem Bauchschlitz. Man kann im Inneren das Blei, eine Rassel, Draht , Schwimmkörper usw integrieren. Man verklebt diese 2 Hälften zusammen , wischt den, noch nassen Kleber ab, und alles ist gut und sauber. Ich schleife von Hand nachträglich ein wenig ab, um die Unebenheiten zu beseitigen. Das geht aber sehr schnell. Das Gute ist, dass man schon vor dem Verkleben in der Badewanne die ersten Schwimmversuche durchführen kann. Ich benutze hierfür entweder ein doppelseitiges Klebeband, das sich leicht entfernen lässt, oder binde den Wobbler mit einen Bindfaden zusammen. So kann ich die Tauchschaufel, die Menge des Bleis und den Schwimmkörper variieren, und den Lauf des Wobblers beeinflussen. Versuch mal einfach ! mfG Jan ;-)

+John Griffiths Thanks a bunch , no worries about the lost lure , ......I've already cut out some more blanks of this model by now , it's a special cold water glidebait model that can simply be worked by half turns of the reel handle resulting in to a moderate gliding action and a subtle belly shake o the drop . Wow, the hook popped right out after. Nice fat pike, I'd say 80cm +I'm very concerned by the temperature change because I don't know if it will have a good or bad impact on the fish spawning. It's going to be 14 Celsius tomorrow in France, Paris.

+WorldWide Fishing Actually it was 88cms in length , quite a good fish for those ponds , but there are bigger ones in there , they say . Problem is , that those ponds are heavily pressured , ....back in early fall some carp anglers told me , that pike did switch their activities into darkness . +61diemai An 88 cm is very good in France. Apparently the winter will be very warm but at one point very cold. We'll see but I think it will make the spawning seasons either too early if warm or too late if the weather changes.

+WorldWide Fishing An 88 cm pike is quite good over here as well , .....really depends on the particular swim , in this case a fishing club pond . Many local anglers do not manage to crack up the "Magic Meter" pike in their lifetime , ......it requires suitable waters like the bigger natural lakes , reservoirs or the brackish coastal regions of the Baltic Sea , that do hold a bigger stock of huge pike . Within 25 years of lurefishing I had only managed twice , .....1,02 m and 1,17 m , .....both from the Dove-Elbe rowing boat race track in Hamburg , many years ago . Also an approx. 1,25m pike got away on light perch gear and 8lbs test monofilament , ...had to drop anchor due to oncoming boat traffic , so after having already battled that fish for 20min or even 30min the line finally snapped on the anchor rope , ......if not of those boats moving up the river I surely would have managed to boat that fish , as it did already show signs of tiring ! I remember one winter maybe a bit more than 10 years ago or so , .....it came late in January and lasted quite a long time with average night temps -15° to -20° Celsius for many days . That year we wanted to explore new fishing waters located in former Eastern Germany around the city of Schwerin , but as we got there late March or early April for the first time , the lakes were still iced up partly . But nowadys I surely won't place any bet on the weather anymore , looks like we humans have finally managed to turn it upside down and sadly it won't get any better anymore . Greetings, Dieter

+61diemai that's true a meter pike is very hard to catch in high pressured areas especially in small lakes and ponds that aren't natural. I know that one day I will maybe get the chance to hook a 1 meter+ horse. That's the thing I love about fishing.

+aurelian romeo vieru No worries, ....actually I'm used to cast with multiplier reels , ...it must have had to do something with fighting that fish , as the reel was properly set before and I did a few dozens of casts with that particular lure before . But I must admit , that I had some problems with that ABU before , just because I spooled on quite thin braid for further casting . The further casting did work well , but such line is just too weak in terms of damages caused by little backlashes or line layers cutting into one another , ..I had snapped off one of my favourite floating wobblers three times whilst casting with that thin braid , always got it back by catching it with a heavy spoon using the second(spinning) rod . My conclusion is now , that multiplier reels and thin braids just do not match , .....period ! Merry Chrismas and a Fishy New Year , ....greetings , Dieter

With an Abu Ambassador 6000 i had problems to,in order that lower than 30lb.braided line,autofriction beetwen the line as dewinding in the cast,and the heavy the lure better....with Bass Pro Megacast Meta 2000,no problems....well, of course the mariage rod end reel is capital.Anyway you will find the answer for sure.From mi mind all the best, and MERRY CHRISMAS A HAPPY NEW YEAR AND TONES OF GOOD IDEAS ,BIG PIKES....AND FISHY YEAR TO YOU TO....RESPECTFULLY ROMEO...

the line ,the snap and the knots....and those nice lures of yours will stay all the time in the terminal point of the rig...or better, in the mouth of monsters pike...yes will be some less distance in the cast...but what can we do ,we are ownsponsored ,impossible to have dedicated combos for any actions,types ,etc,and then how many are enought ?Best regards ,Romeo...

i looked,and on the reel BUF 100,i have braided 30lb.,0.26mm,on the Megacast 40 lb.0.30mm and on the DAM 47lb.0.32mm.....you can look on RIVER PIKER also,a piker from UK ,with a lot of good tips and triks about the theme...
