They'll both make 7-8 figures. When indie devs attempt to create games with the scope and budget of your typical AAA, they often fail. When AAA companies attempt something creative with some depth, they often fail.

Man overwatch was such a fun game. Started playing in spring 2017 and stopped playing in late 2019. I hated some aspects of it but I loved most of it. Really miss those times actually and it feels like an eternity away. Hope overwatch 2 is gonna be good cause I will probably buy it

The biggest problem that I see with overwatch is that it needs more. At blizzcon they announced so many cool things for OW2. Many more coop levels, new character designs, new modes and new maps. It all sounds cool but we are not going to get our hands on this game for another year. I know all of this is supposed to get us excited for the game but it’s still very far away and for now we have overwatch 1. At blizzcon, the main presentation was OW2 and it was cool but we got no new info for the first game. We aren’t getting no new heroes, maps, modes for this game. I guess we still have the holiday events to look forward to but is that it? Some hero buffs and hero nerfs but that’s not enough to make everyone happy and not enough for this game to get better. I love overwatch and I am extremely excited for OW2 but I hope more additions come to the first game. Overwatch 2 looks great but you can’t have an great game if you don’t have a great fan base for it.

I agree, but I think they kind of abandoned ow1 because it wasn't/isn't making enough money to get consistent updates. I don't have any stats to base this on but when you compare it to other live service games like gta online, league of legends, fortnite etc... I don't think ow comes anywhere near close to that kind of revenue. The lootboxes are a terrible deal and thats basically all they have excluding the occasional themed skin for the overwatch league

I genuinely think Jeff is a bad game designer for this kind of game. Very nice guy but very, very out of his element at best. There are issues at every single level of design elements in Overwatch from map design to the fundamental gameplay loop to character balance to UI to netcode. If there are good game designers on Overwatch, they are being actively suppressed by lead design members. I think he is a good MMO guy who was rightfully put at the head of what was supposed to be a new MMO but is massively lost since said MMO turned into a shooter.

I like Dunkey. He has opinions I agree with and disagree with, I especially like his Overwatch video as well as his general sense of humor. However, I will never forgive Dunkey for slandering Splatoon 2. He has a serious point about giving side objectives to dps players. I mean League works because all the team members are separated across the map. They can help each other but that runs the risk of leaving a lane open. It's high risk, high reward. Overwatch however does not give solo players insensitive. It forces you to play meta at a very boring rate. I love playing Pharaoh because I can almost team wipe solo as long as their hitscan is garbage. Even if they counter me I still have a huge chance of survival and it's a neat challenge. However, my second fav was widow....I literally cannot play her if I don't have a team formed around protecting me. I get Winston's and genius rushing me. I get shields on their side that are never destroyed. In a 1v1...unless I get flawless headshots, I am dead. She has no abilities to help her survive. I like teamwork but I tend to work better besides a team...not leading or following. I help them by being the best I can be. I cannot help if I am limited by the very team mates or the very characters role I play. Say for example, Halo Infinite. I can charge in solo and mess up a whole squad. It helps our score out and I can protect my team. In overwatch however, I cannot move, use an ability, or ANYTHING without my teams cooperation. i remember when overwatch first came out and no one grouped, everyone picked what they wanted and it was way more chaotic. way more fun. eventually turned into 6v6 choke spots where everyones just shooting force fields or shields waiting for someone to get a pick or make a mistake.

Easiest way to add replayability to co-op is to just rip off L4D even more. Make longer missions with various small objectives up to the crescendo, plenty of special enemies that can wreck you but aren't so tanky. My favorite part of L4D was vs. mode too, but if they turn the co-op into competitive with people controlling special enemies then switching sides I'd be down
