Good Times was truly one of my favorite all time classic TV sitcoms. I am not totally sure if this is true, but, for the show's opening theme song, someone once told me that it was Ester Rolle and Janet Dubois who sang the opening theme, with John Amos singing the "Temporary Lay Offs" line.
