Vennala Kishore as Sham is one of the brilliant casting calls ever. No one would easily guess/doubt of he would be the snitch/spy as generally he plays comic roles and very rarely he gets normal characters not taking anything from his acting capabilities. I know it's Sesh's idea to cast him cause both of them are good buddies, and he knows how good of an actor Kishore is. You guys did amazing job at reacting to this movie.

The reason why this movie focused on Krav Maga rather than showing some traditional martial arts is because Krav Maga is actually the form which is used for training special forces and intelligence operatives. That is because Krav Maga takes lesser time to reach a high skill level (where operatives can reach high skill levels within months of training), as compared to other traditional arts such as Taekwondo or Shaolin Kung Fu (which take years to master). However, if a Krav Maga practitioner fights with a Master of the traditional martial arts, he would obviously lose, as the traditional master would have spent decades honing in his skills to God level, especially with respect to his speed and reflexes. 8:42 That was one of the biggest reveals in this movie, as all the visuals till then showed Ravi Prakash (who played Vijay) as Gopi's father, with the camera angles cleverly set to never reveal the full picture. The fact that Jagapathi Babu (playing Raghuveer/Rana) was the actual father of Gopi was the biggest and most shocking plot reveal in this movie. The screenplay was so well written that it was almost impossible to guess anything about Jagapathi Babu or his character's motivations. 18:11 This was another BIG plot twist which was brilliantly covered and still revealed in the screenplay. Everyone was suspecting Nadia or someone else of being the mole, but Shaam being the mole was an incredibly brilliant piece of writing and was executed in a more brilliant way in the movie itself. Thing is, if you watch this movie a second time after knowing the plot, you could see the subtle hints everywhere, and yet they are small enough that we will miss them in our first watch. 24:22 That was our reaction when we realized that the story and part of the screenplay was written by Adivi Sesh. He was not a big name in Tollywood till then, mostly doing character roles or lead roles in smaller movies, but the level of talent that he showed with the style of writing this story is simply amazing. Also, people draw parallels with the Mission Impossible movie, or the Dark Knight movie, or other action franchises, but the thing is, even if you are having a good story in your hand, you should be able to execute it properly to sell your idea about the movie. This is the key reason why a lot of remakes fall flat: the execution was poor. And this movie NAILED the execution of the script, which is why this got rave reviews from movie critics. Also, I think you guys should ask him out for an interview, maybe as a promotion for Goodachari 2 when it starts to come out. It would be fun interviewing him.

This movie was made in 6 crores( 800,000 dollars roughly) ... When they started it no body believed them.. they had to struggle a lot to make it in that constrained budget... after the success he announced G2 and G3 as sequels!! Please guys watch his film 'KSHANAM' in telugu and another movie u have to watch is 'DHRUVA' of ramcharan!

Loved your reaction to this film! Adivi Sesh is an extremely talented artist in the TFI (Telugu film Industry). Goodachari in a-lot of ways as you mentioned, takes influence from American cinema. Especially from movies like Kingsman and Mission Impossible. However i’d say it’s more of a unique homage to those films. If you liked this I highly recommend Kshanam. It’s a suspenseful “whodunit” type thriller. It’s also written by Adivi Sesh and he won a Nandi Award for “Best Screenplay Writer” for Kshanam. Definitely watch “Major” and “Evaru” by him. I haven’t seen Evaru but heard alot of great things. He’s also starred in a recent movie that garnered a lot of praise, “HIT: The Second Case”. It’s a Telugu movie featuring Sesh. I haven’t seen this either but it’s the sequel in the film series called “HIT”. All of this movies have a good level of suspense and action carried by clever writing that is sure to keep you engaged, so check some of his movie’s out! And thank you for your awesome reactions!

Have been rooting for Sesh from the time of "Panjaa" though I read about his own flick "Karma" on idlebrain which he shot when he was in USA. It took a while for him to rise to fame. After watching "Kshanam" on big screen, that's when I realized that his time has come. When I realized "Goodhachaari" is coming, I bunked office and watched the movie first day - morning show and the reaction's obvious. Mind blowing.. Thereafter, everyone knows about Sesh and his movies which came after (Evaru, Major). While there are other flicks which he did like Baahubali and Ami-Thumi (comic caper), he's writing his own destiny with movies like Kshanam, Goodhachaari and Major.

Alright, I loved you reactions! But just 2 things I want to mention - not issues, just tidbits I think you'd love. 1) The Sequel is coming. It's expected to hit the Silver Screen sometime this year, although that isn't confirmed. 2) The number '116' is a nod to one of the greatest Telugu spy films and the first of its kind to reach national recognition, back in 1966, called 'Goodachari 116'. It also had another sequel - although it wasn't as good or famous - called 'Agent Gopi' (released 1978). I'm looking forward to seeing more! Also, if you don't mind old movies and try to get a friend from India - who knows Telugu *very* well (because it's older Telugu, so some of the current terms weren't in use, and usage of English was sparser) - to write subtitles, because the movie is an absolute masterpiece. I don't know if there are public subtitles already, so I'd look up on it if I were you. Thank you for reading!
