You just got GetRx a sale. I was on the fence between the three major three in this category and this video made the difference for me. Xebex is on the way now.

Enjoy it, it's a great bike!

This review was one of the contributing factors that helped me pull the trigger and purchase the Xebex. I also came back to the video to compare differences. Mine didn't have the fan stop/safety knob, and I'm wondering if they made a design modification and 86'd the foot platforms and went with just the regular knurled posts on the handles?
@GarageGymReviews8 жыл бұрын
Yeah, they made some changes since the video. To be honest, the changes were improvements, though, as the knurled posts help to keep it tight. Some basic things, but either way it's still an excellent bike.

No worries, I met with Mike and Michael (Owners of Xebex) over the weekend and advised them to check out your review. I included them both in a brief comparison of the Xebex Air Bike and the Assault, which I'll probably post up in the coming days. It's not a thorough review, like your review. For reference, I asked whether the bikes were made in the same factory in Taiwan and they are not...but they are very familiar with one another. Cheers, Matt

Any chances of you doing a review on the Xebex rower?!?!
@phipsdeus29 жыл бұрын
I was gonna ask the same question!!
@GarageGymReviews9 жыл бұрын
+Michael Garza Not until they come out with the second version probably. The current model tracks distance and calories different than the C2 rower, which is the standard in competition. It appears to be built well, however at this point, I would suggest paying a little bit more for the concept 2 rower. They're hard to beat.

Coop. Curious what your thoughts are on the new Airdyne AD Pro? I am in the market and you had me sold on the Xebex but this new Airdyne model looks pretty nice. Thanks for any input.
@GarageGymReviews9 жыл бұрын
+Brandon Cable I personally would stay away from any of the new Schwinn stuff. Their quality has gone down like crazy and the new AD Pro contains a TON of plastic. The main improvement I see on the new AD Pro is the belt drive. But, it being the first air bike with a belt drive could mean disaster if they didn't build it right. The AD Pro will probably be quieter, but I have metal cranking in the background when I'm on the bike so noise isn't an issue for me. \m/

Any chance you can use this for crossfit competition? Or is it mandatory that you use a certain brand?
@GarageGymReviews9 жыл бұрын
+Hunter Johnson Yes, you can use these in a CrossFit competition because they track distance and calories the same way Assault Bikes do, the bikes that were used in the CrossFit Games. Good question!

Hey there, does the monitor on this bike measure the pedal RPM's? I looked at a pic of it on the GetRXd website and it looks like it measures intervals, time, distance, heart rate, calories, watts, and speed, but I don't see a section for pedal rotations per minute. Thanks.
@GarageGymReviews9 жыл бұрын
It does not track RPM, but does track wattage which is a similar method of tracking short term output. Good question though, I hadn't noticed that it lacked tracking RPM's.

Per chance does yours make a horrible grindy noise as though the chain isn't attached correctly? Just set mine up and the noise is awful

Have you done a review on the Schwinn AD8 Airdyne bike yet?
@GarageGymReviews8 жыл бұрын
Nope, haven't had the opportunity to use one yet.
@americanhomefitnesssterlin8578 жыл бұрын
It's the new KING. Best Airbike we have ever used or sold. More Watts, as it has more bladed per rotation creating drag, and built like a 2.5 ton truck and the console is utstanding for seeing calories per minute or watts like a Car tachometer.

I've contacted Martina from Nautilus and passed on your Info to her. We just had our national Crossfit games here in New Zealand a few months back and The AD8 was super impressive with each team at the top winning an AD8 for there crossfit Gyms.I am looking forward to the Xebex coming to NZ so we can try it out.Awesome review,keep it up.

I'm thinking of getting this bike. A bit pricey, but better price than the Assault. And I am struggling with maybe being better off with the Airdyne AD6 because of the price and reviews are not too bad on it. Now that you have had the bike for over a year, can you definitively tell me that it would be a great purchase over what I am thinking? Thank you.
@GarageGymReviews8 жыл бұрын
Yes, stay away from the AD6. The best bike out now is the Schwinn AD Pro which I've reviewed. However, for the price this bike can't be beat!

Hi, I am 5' tall and i'm concerned about whether I will reach the handles when they're fully extended. Is this bike appropriate for short people like me?

Yes, it can be adjusted for any size person.

Great video. I finally bought mine used. The only issues im having is the handle has a lot of play. Do you experience the same thing. Like it is loose or something. if you do, how do you fix it? i tried reading the maintence video but didnt find anything to fix the issue
@GarageGymReviews7 жыл бұрын
I did initially, but I just made sure to tighten it down completely which fixed the issue.

I dont get it. In a comment on this video you say to stay away from any schwinn airbike because of all the plastic parts used, but in this link you have the schwinn airdyne pro as the best airbike, so which one is really the best?

Can an airbike also be used for liss cardio? . Is the resistance on this bike challenging enough for an effective liss cardio workout?

Definitely.

You are comparing the old airdyne 30 years old against a modern air bike? They both do the same work except there's a water bottle holder, wow!!! You can get a used airdyne for less than $100!!!!!!

I have a Schwinn AD 3. I bought for 80 dollars it almost 40 years old and it’s in perfect shape lost 60 lbs in 8 months doing intense workout for me on it. Brought a1c to 6.1 chrorestal to 141 and off all medicine and I have a shoe box of prescriptions prescribed by multiple doctors and you call the Schwinn a piece of junk . It saved my health and not going to far my life. No more diabetes of course diet helped but that jerking you talk about when riding my rides smooth because I use smooth motion not stand in front and jerk handles and the electronics is just a way to measure your workout level and get watch and other devices that are calibrated to you much better than a gauge made for everybody not everybody’s burns same calorie count I get no sponsors to pay me for saying because Schwinn out of business since early nineties. All these bikes I am sure they are great. But they all want to be original schwinn airdynes. I would not trade you for any of those bikes.

Interesting Review! For all of your putting down that old antique of a Schwinn Airdyne, Brock Lesnar uses that horrible POS Schwinn air dyne that you say is so horrible. Jerk, why don't you at least compare a current model against your bike? Which by the way looks like it has copied the fan design, the pedal system, the arm pedal system, and pretty much the whole basic design from Schwinn. Dude, if it's good enough for Brock, I am sure it will still be effective, but you have to USE it. Google Brock Lesnar Air dyne. The Schwinn is still working. Will yours be still working in 25 years? Hahaha! What a joke.
@GarageGymReviews8 жыл бұрын
I can see you're passionate about the old Airdynes. I'm glad Brock Lesnar has used one, however, him using one does not indicate durability. They're very effective machines and this machine is no more effective, it's simply more durable.
