I'm sorry for your loss! I do know the hurt and emptiness. I'm a retired master k-9 trainer they were not just my working dogs they were my best friends. It doesn't matter cats or dogs. They are apart of us.

So sorry for your loss. All of my cats have been Maine Coons (also known as "Norwegian Forest Cats") just like Ashton is..! They are the smartest and most friendly of all cats.. Mine was 21 years old when he died. Ashton was only 2 1/2 years old.. Gone too soon..!! Peace to you and your Family.

I send you my condolences Janice. It's awful how unfair life is by it also being such a fragile and finite thing. I would ask why can't adorable and innocent creatures live forever? My household had a pet Parakeet in the mid 90s but it died all of sudden. I vowed to never again have another pet because it's emotionally painful when a pet passes away. I love cats and i wish i could magically bring your cat back to life.

Ashton is such a adorable little guy, I have no doubt he knew you loved him very much and I am sure he loved you with all his heart. Take all the time you need Janice, and try to get some rest if you can. Ashton lived the best life any kitty could ask for and I know his last memories with you were happy ones. He left too soon but, I know he could not have asked for a better life and I’m sure he had no regrets spending it with you. 🙂
