It's description reads: "Del here I've spent enough time with the Sarge (Clayton) to know exactly who this belongs to, Ben Carmine - Sarge's little brother. He used to talk about him all the time. Said he did more fighting on his first day than a lot of Gears did in a year. I should get this helmet back to him."

Hey Dee, a little backstory behind Tai and how him and Marcus first met. During the Pendulum wars Tai was part of a primitive warrior tribe/cult of some kind that stayed neutral between the COG and the UIR in their fight for control over imulsion. But when Tai was away from his village gathering food, the UIR invaded their lands and wiped out his entire tribe as well as his family so that he was the only one left. As a result from his sorrow and rage, this led Tai to seek revenge on the UIR by essentially hunting down any and all UIR forces that passed through a large forest with nothing but a knife and a bow and arrow. He was said to have killed hundreds if not thousands of UIR soldiers, till the point where the story of this one man hiding out in the forest killing UIR became a feared legend for anyone who entered it. Then one day, whilst Tai was hiding in the trees, he saw a lone soldier on patrol. Tai took out his bow and arrow and started aiming at the seemingly unaware soldier from behind, until the soldier says “I wouldn’t do that if I were you...”. And it’s revealed to us that this soldier is none other than Marcus Fenix. At which point Tai reveals himself from the shadows of the forest, and Marcus basically convinces him to join the COG, by saying that he knows he wants revenge on the UIR, and that he’ll be able to get it and kill a lot more of them if he joins with the COG.

he also believed that when the soul leaves the human body, the body will soon follow. a moment when he has a UIR soldier and slowly talks to him as he dies, only to then lift and use his body as a meat shield right after. when he was caught by the locust he was totured and broken till the point he believd his soul left him and the body would soon follow, which is where the shotgun scene happened as he would never do it until he truly believed he had no soul in him

Bit of lore for ya Dee The giant worm (Riftworm) are an ancient species that lived in Sera (Sera is basically Earth in the game series) that tunnelled its way underground creating the Hollow (which is basically an underground world beneath Sera).The locust view them as gods and in the first game when you set of that bomb at the end it awoke one of them and the High Priest of the locust (the dude who cut the tank in half earlier) managed to pretty much tame it and use it to sink cities around Jacinto but why you'll find out later on in the game!!!!!

RIP Tai :( a lot of people didn't give Tai much credit when Gears 2 first came out...but let's reflect on how long Tai has been fighting: Tai is from Irohma Island, one of the Southern Islands which had native tribes, these were notorious for recruiting highly skilled commando soldiers and snipers primarily for COG or UIR (though mainly COG). Other notable characters from the Southern Islands was Padrick Salton (commando/ sniper who fought with Marcus n Carlos) and Bernie Mataki (senior officer and legendary sniper/ survival expert). It was Marcus Fenix who convinced Tai to join the COG when Tai's island was invaded during the Pendulum War era. Tai would go on to become known as the "insurmountable" and one of the few men who literally was as savage as the Locust when necessary. He also fought at Aspho Fields the same as Marcus Fenix, Carlos Santiago, Bernie Mataki and many others. His first game appearance chronologically is in the Evacuation of Ilima City (10 years after E-Day) when he served in Zeta-Six alongside Minh Young Kim, Alicia Valera and Michael Barrick. Of the four of them Valera was the only one to perish. It's ironic really that Tai ended up killing himself eventually...no Locust could kill him...but they could break him and lead him to kill himself...

You can zoom in by pressing right stick with the pistol, the boltok pistol and the kaomax ;) Also, when you have a grenade in your hand you can do a malee attack near a wall to jam the grenade in the wall and it will work like a proximity mine. You can also melee ennemies with grenades and the grenade will stick to them and explode.
