That's what i think too, and many praise songs fit his extremely (i don't deserve you comes to mind, which I'll edit after exams) cas embodies both unconditional pure love, and sacrifice/martyrdom

Castiel was a sad angel. His story was never a happy one. He died thinking the sadness of loving but being unloved is all the happiness he will ever get. Dean didn't appreciate and didn't deserve his devotion, but sometimes we don't deserve the love that people bestow upon us. I really enjoyed your video, it reminded me how much i liked Meg.

Thank you so much for making this! Cas's death was so tragic and he deserves a tribute as great as this one. I love how you showed all his most important relationships: his romantic love for Meg and Dean, his love of family and friendship for Sam and Jack, his bond with the other angels, as well as all the most important moments in his life. This was absolutely beautiful.

Castiel has always been credited with his mistakes and almost never his merits. He rebelled, he fell, for love, for feelings, for humanity. He betrayed his family, Heaven, the people he loved, to save them, the world and the universe. For me he suffered even more than the Winchesters, but the pain of the two brothers is told more in the episodes. Castiel was introduced as a perfect being, an angel of the Lord, who as the only weakness had this sympathy for a hunter. But then he changed, he became a hero, ready to sacrifice his life to save others. He was never happy, except when he declared himself. Except when he said he loved a man he gave everything for. Except when he let go. Except when he realized that his true happiness was what he could never have. Honestly, I've always loved Destiel. A hunter, a mortal man, who is afraid of his feelings and of loving. An angel, a perfect machine, who to feel feelings, for love, fell. My idea of love in a nutshell. But after all those hugs, those prayers, those smiles, those words, those sacrifices, those looks, I still think Meg was the first character to appreciate and love Castiel. A Demon who falls in love with an angel, ironic as it is true, and honestly I was in love with that love. (sorry for the poem, I probably said a lot at random. I also apologize for the bad English)

this !!!!! 100% cas makes a mistake ? we never hear the end of it ! cas single handedli saves the world and prevents a 2nd apocalypse ? he's the villain because that plan had a slight hitch i disagree with the destiel thing though , i agree with the megstiel part though an i think cas was happy then too, and his scenes with her were the rare ones when he wasn't ordered around, insulted or expected to sacrifice himself and suffer but just be and live, he was happy when he thought it was the real meg in 15x13 too ::! cas rarely lived for himself oh don't apologize i appreciate such long comments and like reading them

This was a beautiful tribute to Castiel. Loved that Megstiel was highlighted-- that relationships gives me all the feels. I feel it's one of the most compelling relationships on the show no matter the small number of scenes they got together compared to other Cas relationships/friendships. My favorite part in the vid, without a doubt, is when Cas tells Dean he's the "most selfless..." and then you put in the clips of *Sam* being his awesome, selfless self such as throwing himself into the Cage, sacrificing his life for the sake of the world. I was like, "Oh yeah, mic drop!" Sorry, I admit I'm a Sastiel supporter... and when Cas said that part in his confession, I was thinking that seemed more appropriate for Sam. So, I was pleased to see this addressed in the vid with those scenes of Sam being selfless and forgiving. Thank you so much for making this!!

Thank you sooooooooo much ❤❤❤ And i'm also a sastiel shipper, having sam instead would have made it 100x better, even platonic, everything fit him more, and destiel had endless ''moments'' (that never hit home with me cause it's either manipulatint cas or poor attempt to brush off all the times dean was awful to him) but sastiel otp or brotp was the unintentional gem, often reduced but yet bloomed so well in later seasons, both work so well together without any controlling or disrespect, just mutual support and qffection to each other, then both raising jack, it was all THERE except saud so having that scene would have had huge impact

@@KOriginalAddict Oh yes. I completely agree. It was a missed opportunity. I'm grateful for Cas's words to Sam in 15x17 (that Sam was doing the right thing), but I wish there had been more. That in the episode where Cas died, he and Sam would have had some sort of goodbye scene. I like the idea someone put forth that if Sam had been the one Cas had made the confession to, Sam would have said something/done something to insure Cas knew he was loved in return. Anyway, thank you so much for formatting this Castiel tribute the way you did. :)

This comment made me tear up, cause that's how i feel and i'm so glad i (and my friends especially on tumblr) aren't the only ones, i loved castiel so much, the pain they put him through all those years wasn't bad enough , they had to reduce him to just dean's thing, it's all about what cas can give to dean but what does cas get? Abuse? Losing his family? His own son abused too? And writers expect me to believe this, if sam or jack were there i'd cry hut with just dean i was more confused, he didn't care, but those two did and seeing them torn apart watching him die would've been emotional. Dean couldn't even give him any nice last words. Again taking and taking. And fans cheer and only focus on destiel, but WHAT ABOUT CAS? Thank you ❤

Castiel, the real Castiel, that one was brainwashed all over again during eons because he always rebel. Always love humanity. He always put humans first. He's a hero, he's a soldier with a cold hand and gold heart. C'mon he literally stopped the second apocalypse by himself so humanity doesn't over. He help the Winchesters for his love for humanity. And now that's all about Dean? That Dean who treats to kill his son? Who didn't care of him and leaves him in a psychiatrist hospital? That Dean who acuses him like he was a criminal even himself works with Crowley in the same season? That Dean who only call him when he needs? Never supports him in anything? Am I supposed to believe that all Cas was, he was for that person? That's the most abusive way to show up a relationship. I know no one's gonna read this but i can't help it, i have to say this Every time i rewatch that episode, i can't help but cry...not tears but blood Castiel's character is legit one of the best in the show, he was the cherry on top When he said to dead, "You've changed me, dean" , i could see why From an angel of the lord, part of the cavalry who just followed orders and didn't know what freewill is (Which was what dean was all about) "I'm an angel of the lord" After getting to know dean, he turned a rebellion angel who makes his own choices, helped the boys take out Lucifer and died for it but came back "Hey Assbutt!!" Then he turned into the angel watching over the boys (like Mary once told an unborn dean) , he cared about them, so he felt guilty and brought back Sam from Lucifer's cage only to feel even more guilty for the pain Sam suffered when the wall collapsed, he decided to take the burden for him "I'm sorry i ever did this to you" After the first apocalypse when there was chaos in heaven and the angels got divided into factions, he wanted to reunite them, he wanted to fix it... it was the least he can do, he would do anything to get it done, so he did his best to make sure Raphael is not in charge to make sure he didn't bring back the apocalypse and ruin what the boys had done He juiced up with power but it made it even worse when the power made him feel responsible for humans and decided to become god, The angels didn't follow him so he killed most of them "I must do it!! I MUST stop Raphael!" later when he came back from Purgatory and realizing what he had done to heaven, he insisted on making it right and serving heaven once again but his relationship with the boys stood in the way "I have to fix my home" After the angels had fallen, his guilt stroke again, and decided to lead the fallen angels although he felt he was unfit for it "I'm no leader" "Hated by my own kind" When the boys wanted to take out Amara, he had no problem giving up his vessel to help them take her out Finally he became a father, to another creature who was also rejected and didn't have someone to count on, They had a special bond He would give his life for him and he did One of the best things about this episode is the mark on dean's shoulder, it was well-thought of Linking the first time they met and the last one Also if you haven't noticed, the mark was on his right shoulder the first time, this time it's on the left one... it's just...Beautiful

Thank you so much for these words As for free will, to be honest anna had more of a neutral impact on cas, she wanted him to be free, for himself, never suggesting him anything, dean was convincing him more for sam's sake. But castiel's rebelling has always been HIS, others can trigger it but in the end it's about who cas is as the caring angel who loves humanity And the sad part, dean always denies him free will, season 6 was the biggest example, unwilling to hear him out, telling him ''when i tell you don't just don't cause i'm asking'' not too far from heaven's ''obey orders cause god commanded it'' Then season 12, cas wanted jack born with his powers, instead of hearing him out, respecting him, dean was like ''what makes you think we'll give him a choice'' So cas reached true free will in s6, ignoring glarant writing bias cause they wanted him killed off so they made him act ooc, but sadly he was so severely emotionally abused that he couldn't break free I agree with all the rest though ❤

Dude. First things first. Good that I'm already in a mental health hospital because I can handle the emotions I have towards this. Second of all it's amazing.
