It is a bummer if the prices go up and you're not trying to sell and you're still trying to just stack. Silver's only worth something when you go to sell it so if you don't want to sell it's probably going to suck to stack as far as the price

I'll be honest, this falls into fear mongering and temporary panic IMO. Sure, gold WILL go up, silver WILL go up, but this isn't the reason why. Temporary forecast on specific types of bullion for a long term hold that's indifferent where it comes from. If people didn't want to buy earlier, this isn't the reason now.

It also depends where you buy your silver. I will never purchase it from the mints or online ever again now that I found a monthly coin show in my area. The silver vendors are in a constant rotation of buying silver from the people aging out and looking to sell. They then turn around and sell it to those of us looking to buy. This is mostly old stock or new old stock bars/rounds, 90% and all the various countries silver coins. Not brand new inventory. There is never a shortage at these shows. This last Saturday(2 days ago) I got a tube of beautiful maple leafs from 2012 at $33 per. I got eagles with some patina on sale for $32 each. 90% quarters and dimes were at 22x’s and halves were 23x’s face. I got $10 face each of dimes and halves. Don’t fall for ordering online folks!!!! Find a decent shop or coin show near you. It’s worth a long drive even.

I was fortunate and ordered another tube of 15 of the $8 (1.5 oz) Canadian wildlife coins at the low last month along with a pre-order of my 2025 graded ASE for my grandson's cache (and the $8 were on sale at a $0.99 premium). Due to the pre-order, it did not ship until today. Today's price on the coins are each about $4 more than when I ordered them already with no tariff boost. I wish the US Mint made 1.5 oz coin, they are so nice and hefty.

It's kinda similar to when the UK added VAT to silver (20%)... so now here in the UK silver stacking is a much more long term consideration as we're paying 50% premiums on new silver so we have to wait a lot longer for the spot price to catch up. The way around it is to buy pre-owed as that is VAT free. For you guys in the USA at least you won't have the tariff on US produced silver so worst case you stack eagles for a few years. After all, silver is silver and bullion is bullion. If you want a Maple you just have to accept the higher price. Spot prices will be separate to that, they have been steadily going up for years and will likely continue to do so, as long as they do you can still buy silver now (US silver in your case without the tariff) and get a return in a few years.... The name of the game is to buy the silver with the lowest premium and that's the same as it's always been as far as i can tell.

It seems reasonable. If the price of maples goes up and people switch to eagles what's to keep dealers from raising prices on them. Right now dealers are buying stuff really cheap according to every video I've watched in the last month. If they can afford to do it they would be smart to sit on it until price goes up. They are buying below spot now. When prices go up they will be able to offer their inventory at a comparative bargain and still make a killing.

Frustrating, I just got into stacking and started with 10 Canadian Maples, really like them and I also grew up just across river from Canada and played/followed hockey growing up so have a bit of an affinity for our northern neighbors. Checked yesterday and Maples seem either out of stock or already too high to justify buying em over rounds, bars, or even ASEs.

I think it's like you mentioned. So if I want the new Alien coin design directly from the Candaian mint then it's going to cost more. Otherwise the premiums are already so high it depends on how bad the retailer wants to get rid of them and what the market supports because there's probably a ton of maples sitting around. I mean who seriously calls themselves a stacker that doesn't have any maples at all? So what is ebay going to tarriff Maples then? No. Over time the price of ALL silver will go up from it, but the inital push is probably just fomo.

The DEI reference to the DC crash and the shipping of Gold from London to NY (the latter I think actually happened several years ago including from the Vatican too (EO 13848)) are I firmly believe just cover stories. I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say, one of the cryptocurrencies will be adopted and announced as a main strategic reserve asset, and since that will have a fixed price, gold will be revalued to something astronomically high, ushering out fiat, and forcing the people to economically run everything strictly using gold/silver or their digital dollars. Now of course they want to be able to track everything, so they will. However, they don’t want us having silver/gold because that’s the core of finance and once we understand that then every one of our created resources after that becomes more valuable. So that’s my guess, I really don’t know what will end up happening.🤷‍♂️😅
