Get yourselves a pile of grass and branches and light a fire over some of the rock oysters and wait for them to open up. Delicious.

Looks like you could used a shore to sea anchore system no swiming with the snaping handbags it requires 2 anchors a long rope and 2 pullys or 2 large rings . one anchor out in the water and one on shore and the rope runs as one long loop between the 2 anchors and the boat is atached by a splice in the midle of the long loop . you can pull the boat in and out as you need to .it is perfict set up for your situation on the sand cay hope this helps keep you dryer on the next trip you do

Thanks very much for your work in showing what the north eastern coast is really like as i remember it from the 70,s and 80,s. Its refreshing to hear and see the actual reality with the minimum of bad times editied out. In particular the often encountered rocky bottom beach shore that you can,t park up a glass boat on (more times than not) and especially being honest about how bad midge,s mozzies and march fly,s can be. So much so that i,m thinking of having a medal struck for you guys, ( and strik and fran ) for doing what you do ,WITH NO VISABLE MIDGE SCREENS IN SIGHT. from my perspective the trip would not proceed one inch without midge screens and backup midge screens. This is not a criticism just an observation based on early experience of my own. Thanks again for your films and please keep then comming. Cheers fellers ranger mick, (messenger).

This might be a totally stupid question but when you are referring to "bities" I have not heard you mention using any type of repellents? Do you use them?? Are they not effective? Citronella torches or candles? Just curious, y'all do this all the time so maybe I just don't know how to deal with the diverse insects you deal with.
