Me and my tnt trainer just ran for about 5 1/2 weeks. Racked up about 22K miles. He took a week of home time, I said no prob let’s take a decent break and then get back and hammer out the rest.

This is the video ive needed. This is one of the biggest concerns ive had with biting the bullet on doing this. Getting home end of august for a pre planned event. And the recruiter at Prime has never gotten back to me about it after 1 email and 2 voicemails.

What do you make of truckers unionizing? United we bargain, divided we beg. There is power in a band of working folk when we stand hand in hand. Dont scab for the bosses, dont listen to their lies, us poor folk havent got a chance unless we organize. All prime drivers must communicate amongst each other regarding working conditions, like rates, hours, management, etc. This is the only way we can find out if the boss is exploiting us, and if they are we have the power to organize and strike until our demands are met, because “without our brain and muscle not a single wheel can turn.”

Alot of companies let u go home after u pass for your cdl. So u can transfer everything over. If it was me i would wanna get started right away

Another driver told me that while in t. NT the trainee is a company employee. And they were eligible for the same amount of hometime that any other prime company driver was.

Going to start my orientation on April 1st. My biggest concern is that I have a Learning Disability and it can take me a while to learn something. I feel like I am going to fail the Pre-Inspection all 3 times. I barely got my permit the 3rd time around. I have trouble explaining things and also have a Speech Disability. Don't know what to ask for about accommodations or even if it is possible or not. Since it is a DOT thing.

As a company driver, do your pays stubs track home time or is that something I need to pay attention to myself? And is it still capped at 4 days off for company drivers?

It's all about the relationship with the fleetmanger I have never had trouble taking more than 4 days off

Hey, i just got my permit yesterday, do you know if they are hiring right now? Im asking because my recruiter is telling me that they dont have any open training positions right now (which is understandable) but she also said there probably wont be any until late summer and that just sound very weird. Is that normal or could be true? And do you have any advice?

Well 5000 miles a week x 10 wks is 50.000 miles u may run more miles in a week . But on average.
