Love your videos and your personality bro! You and your family life has inspired me.. I’m getting married this November and going to be a family man soon I started off watching for the Loc advice and now I love the discussion type videos, the vlogs, most all your content! I had to hop off the minoxidil quick as well, was trying to grow a beard and my face puffed up like mad 🤣 not worth it

Also try a derma roller in that bald spot 2/3 times a week and see if that helps

I appreciate the affirmation on the new direction fam! This is some of the most valuable feedback I can get. It’s hard to know if you all are liking stuff sometimes! 😅 It’s funny, I didn’t think I had topical minox side effects but looking back, I think I had some face puffiness too! 😂😂😂

I used minoxidil to grow my beard. It definitely worked for me but of course everyone doesn’t get the same effect. Beard hair and head hair are different. You have to keep using it or your head hair will still fall out when you stop using. Your beard will stay when you stop using it. Minoxidil was originally used for blood pressure , the side effect of using minoxidil is hair growth. Natural is always the way to go.

As a pharmacist that prefers natural medicine, i agree 100% with your decision. Always listen to your body and stop immediately. I recommend you get your bloodwork done and see where your levels are at for iron and other minerals. Those are usually the culprits for the bigger issues we have in general. Thankfully mineral deficiencies are easier and safer to correct with our diet and herbal supplements!

This is real content- Never annoyed. All of this hair information is extremely useful. I once had myself in a similar situation when I was 17-18 surprisingly. Never to minoxidil - A lot changed in my life and right before I turned 20 I started my most recent set. Edit: I’m willing to send what it was like for me if you ever want to use it as content (haven’t made a hair channel yet).

In growing my hair to be long, strong and healthy I made everything myself. It's a bit of work but it worked for me. Using extra virgin olive oil as a base I added fresh rosemary, fresh peppermint, Castor oil, tea tree oil and fresh lemon grass. The longer it sits the better. If fresh ingredients are unavailable use all natural ingredients. I don't have a scale condition but it helped my hair grow long and strong and kept my scalp moisturized

I’m a alopecia survivor. I noticed in 2003 that I had a dime sized bald spot and it spread to 6 balls spots. I went to the doctor and I used minoxidil topical and a shampoo call Nixon shampoo.. I was healed also I was on a antidepressant I didn’t want to take drugs so I had to make a choice for my health.. Alopecia is caused from physical stress…

Great watch as always 👊🏿. And agree with all the comments. If the side effects were kicking in definitely makes sense to halt on it. Coz as with all medicines sometimes the side effects hit, sometimes they don't so always gotta be cautious once they start showing. Only guarantee is going natural with them ointments. Happy Sunday everyone 🫡💜

I used oral minoxidil for about a month. I experienced fluid retention. So like you, I put the brakes on due to those unwanted side effects. I also take viviscal pro. I use a topical steroid as prescribed. As far as any ointments, I don’t want anything blocking and suffocating my hair follicles. There’s a KZbinr … “cyndoll”. She’s a LICENSED cosmetologist, who also has a scalp issue. She has a lot of scientific knowledge that is very valuable. I think it might behove you to check out some of her videos. Lastly, she also had personal experience with scalp conditions. I think you’d really find her extremely informative.

I had some spots in my locs and I went to the dermatologist to find out what’s going on. I think other spots was stress due to the pandemic, losing my mother in law, then my dad right after..my stress levels was high. The dermatologist took a biopsy of my scalp to see what’s going on and she said she didn’t see anything. So I just decided to stop twisting my locs and give it time to grow but she also told me to get rogaine so I was rubbing it on the spotty areas for months and I didn’t see much change.. I gave up and went natural with herbs and oils that would promote growth. So far the stress spots area filled back in but where I believe I have traction alopecia never grew back in.. I just shave it but it’s a small area and you can’t notice it with my locs down. It just look like a small undercut style. But continue your journey and thank you for sharing. I love your love content but it’s the side of having locs we don’t get to see. So I appreciate you sharing this information here.

I used to give minoxidil for my patients in the nursing home to treat their high blood pressure. When I learned it was given to treat hair loss as well I was pretty shocked. These doctors and scientists just be doing anything lol But I keep commenting this , don’t wanna sound like a broken record 🤣🤣 but i would encourage you to look into Batana oil. I’ve commented this a few times before but a lot of people don’t know about it because it comes from Honduras in the native villages. It’s from a nut that is crushed and then turned into an oil. A lot of people I’ve met going to herbal seminars have used it with much success. Even my moms friend has been using it for her sparse edges and she has said it’s helped. But don’t believe me, research it for yourself. Also for any men Out there struggling with ED look into watermelon rind 👀👀👀

In high school I had alopecia for like a year i believe was caused by stress. I had a spot on the left side of my head about the size of 2 quarters and I went to a dermatologist got some injections in my head and waited. Eventually the spot grew back but idk if it was because of the injections or because I’d started smokin cannabis but it came back and I’ve never had a spot since (knocking on wood) and now I have my first set of locks a year and a half in rn. Idk if there’s any insight you can take from this but it’s jus my story!

Bro. I’m 80/20 FOR cutting my locs, and I’m there because of a lot of reasons. One of those being that with so many young little “thug” dudes having em, it’s getting harder to not be lumped in with them and I feel like I’m being profiled more because of it. I also miss looking more sleek. I think that your hair is ultimately going to be fine, but don’t discount the little things like public image, etc…that can come along with maintaining more of a clean aesthetic. Also, great decision to leave the minoxidil alone. Great video as usual bro
