Man, everything about Kira is so perfect - he had a few episodes exploring his personality and it is a perfectly believable personality for a serial killer. His stand is perfect for living peacefully and leaving no traces that could bother him, while also being badass. His actions, mistakes and his whole thought process all perfectly match who he is and his end is super satisfying, though it never makes him appear weak or fall out of character. It's amazing how this show managed to produce one of the best villains in all of anime.

Araki really understood what it meant to be a psychopathic killer when writing Kira and it shows. From the emotionless expression on his stand, his soul, to him always wanting to stay in the background. You can find that every detail fits perfectly if you look.

Honestly, in my opinion, part 4 is by far the best part in the *anime* this far. So fun fact. Araki did a short story manga with three chapters called Dead Man's Questions. It stars a spirit whose lost his memory and trapped in the living world, and doing assassination jobs for money (yes, ghosts need money) As you can guess, the ghost turns out to be Kira. So canonically Kira still exists, he's just a wandering ghost without a memory trying to find out who he is.
