Since there's no official birth date for him I have to take the manga's debut as the current time in morioh. So that means Tonio is born in 1964 while Gordon Ramsay was born in 1966 making him Gordon Ramsay's older brother if they were related.

5:20 The digestive cells of nearly all Japanese people cease production of lactase (breaks lactose into galactose and glucose) after leaving infancy or childhood, resulting in lactose intolerance. This is a global phenomenon that occurs for the majority of human beings, especially those ethnic groups that developed in areas where dairy was not an important source of nutrition. Thus, cheese is considered an unappealing/weird food in Japan. See Mako Mankanshoku (?) from Kill la Kill, whose love for cheese is an indicator of her weirdness for Japanese audiences. If anything, being lactose intolerant should be considered the average state of humanity. It is the European and Central Asian populations where less than 30% of people are lactose intolerant, with prevalence trending downwards with increase in latitude/ decrease in average temperature. Thus, it is Northern Europeans (Scandinavians, British isles, north Germans, Baltics) who have the lowest frequency of lactose intolerance. As it turns out, that's where many Americans originated from, and so America's global media influence made adult dairy consumption seem normal.

I freaking love this episode. My boy Wataru Takagi (Okuyasu) doing a season's worth of work in one episode. I love that they totally pulled a bait-and-switch like that, using the audience's paranoia about the new enemy Stand users! (I also like how Tonio speaks, he has this weird cadence that shows Japanese isn't his first language. He uses weird vocab too, saying "anata" (you) when you don't have to in Japanese, it's implied.)

And Okuyasu's like my favorite Jo-bro, he's like just after Speedwagon. Ranking from best to worst for anime-only it'd be Speedwagon, Okuyasu, Caesar, Buccialetti (mostly because he's more like a team-mom than an actual bro, but in terms of story he's technically the Jo-bro of part 5), and then Kakyoin (it's not that I didn't like him, but compared to Avdol and Polnareff he was very I guess boring).

I assure you this is not spicy in the slightest.”

Interesting fact about the stand name. The band, Pearl Jam, had a fairly popular amount of songs, but would often refuse to play them. They believed that playing only what people want would ruin the overall experience in the long run, so they would space out the songs they would play evenly, which did inevitably improve their popularity in live performances. This is why the stand’s user, Tonio, refuses to give a menu and provides top quality food based on what they need instead of what they want.
