Congrats on the anniversary. What a milestone! The SRX is the only shavette or straight I've had, and I've only used it three or four times. Instead of getting better and improving my technique, I seemed to hack up my face worse and worse with each subsequent use, so I stopped and went back to enjoyable shaves with DE razors.

Now on to the flowers, just fantastic and beautiful as expected, thanks to Mrs H. Nice shave there Paul💈💈, the goatee is gone and a smooth, clean face to show for it. The shavette took a months worth of growth right off with only a few minor issues, no worries. The Gillette Heritage finished up nicely, and the face is glowing again. SOTD: PAA Cube, Sterling "Coniferous" soap/witch hazel/splash/balm, Capt. Choice synth brush, REX "Envoy" razor with Wizamet blade, and alum....Glorious. Great video, thanks. Happy 25th Anniversary from "across the pond" in Boston, Massachusetts, my friend ! Great presentation and shave, as always. I am glad to see you use each hand when using the shavette. A lot of guys don't realize (or don't want to try to shave with their non-dominant hand) how important shaving ambidextrously is when using a shavette or straight razor so that you can see what youre doing in order to get the proper angle. I also have the Gillette Heritage razor, and it has become my travel set. Cheers ! Rob

Beautiful display by Mrs H, and great choices for your midweek shave!!!! Congratulations on your silver anniversary!! That’s a huge milestone, and one that should celebrated properly. My SOTD will be the Gillette Sheraton with a Personna Red blade, Simpson Chubby 3 Badger Brush, PAA Cube 2.0, Fine Accoutrements Platinum Soap and Aftershave, with some Fine Accoutrements Platinum balm to finish the shave. Meal of the day will be some Lamb Chops with some sautéed onions, curried lentils, basmati rice, and green beans. Have a wonderful day and stay safe!!!!

What a great way to knock down heavy beard growth, use a Shavette for the first pass, however, the Parker looked a bit dangerous loading method. Lovely lather from the hi-end Abbate Y La Mantia soap. MrsH has an impressive display once again.

Good afternoon Paul! Happy Anniversary Mr. & Mrs. H! Gorgeous flower arrangement; thank you Mrs. H. You are a brave gentleman to use a shavette on that beard; well done. I think the mustache works for you, If you felt inclined to keep it. I like the Gillette Heritage razor too. It gives a no fuss, no muss type of shave. It would be a nice daily driver for work shaves too. SOTD: Gillette Heritage razor loaded with a Gillette Platinum (the new Swede version) blade (7th use). TOBS Coconut shaving cream, bowl lathered with a Graydog Spalted Maple 26 mm synthetic brush. Finished with Thayer's Coconut Water skin toner and Stirling Bay Rum aftershave. I was smooth and smelling barbershop fresh. Nice shave Paul. Please take care and stay healthy.

Wedding congrats! It's been said it takes one hundred shaves to become proficient with the shavette. Ehh, I'd say more like almost twice that, for me anyways. (To handle it with complete and total confidence). Cannot get closer than a blade directly on skin with no safety bar or comb. Bbs for almost two days when I use it. Good week, Paul. I used a razor, old Old Type clone, without any teeth today. Kind of close to a shavette. After the first pass i had 5 weepers too. Interesting but only the first pass gave me weepers. Next two were pretty much ok....
