I wonder what Dakota’s reaction was to reading this part of the script for the first time. (The part where she has to throw a drink in Kim Bassinger’s face). As an actual person, it must have been daunting. But as an actress, when she remembers for the moment that she’s Ana and Kim is Elena, and Elena deserves way more than a drink in her face, then it must have been easier.

The movie screwed that part up. In the book (FREED: As told by Christian) he doesn't seek her out, he was wandering the street lost in his thoughts ends up his therapists office but it's late and he's not there so Christian walks some more and ends up outside the salon as Elena is locking up, he refuses to go in but his thoughts aren't in a good place and he agrees to go to a bar. He never tells her details or talks about Ana other than she wants children and defends Ana when Elena disparages her, he shuts her down on everything but business and ends it with a final goodbye. I'm not condoning him talking to Elena at all, but I understand it. Elena knew what she was doing when she sent that text and Ana plays right in to it. That morning after is the one of only two parts Ana annoys the hell out of me refusing to let him explain anything when she was constantly preaching about communication. Everything she accuses him of is false (other than leaving in the first place) and says more about her insecurities than anything.

Isn't it wonderful. 5 years after the movie, and there are new fans buying the books, watching the movies, and falling in love with Christian and Ana. Jamie and Dakota really brought those movies to life. No other romance movie in history has made as much money as these movies. Over one billion dollars. The books themselves have sold in the hundreds of millions. Put them together in another movie of any kind, and see what happens. Producers need to stop listening to the critics, and put them together. They're not doing too well apart.

Was pleasantly surprised to see Kim Basinger in the role of Elena Lincoln. Liked the books and saw all the movies, but nothing was sexier than Ms. Basinger and Mr. Rourke in 9/2 weeks.

I hope Grace banished her a couple year earlier! Christian will be maybe 30 shades less.

When Grace is talking to Christian about Elena she remembers Elena has exotic tastes. She tells Christian she doesn’t want to know and Christian doesn’t volunteer anything else.
