I always thought that I hope that I would never die before my two dogs would. I don't know what to do when my hounds would have a new family. Would the keep them inside and fed well and them a lot of good loving. Would they know that I have great memories with them. What if......................... Good morning Cooper my friend. O' my darling Boddie beagle and Basset mix. I'm 75 now. I have always had a couple of hounds around. Good God I will miss them. I'm now in tears. Looking into their eyes. I'm devastated.. But I am happy . Tear of joy I know. I love you both. at the same time I weep. I'm 75 years old and have had several good hounds. I'm not a hunter at all. But my boys love to go out and chase something up the tree. We take some pictures and move on. I have plenty of raccoons, fox and possomes at our backdoor. Time to come in boys. dexter was only 7... he inspired 4 of my friends to get a dog.. because dexter was the best buddy.. one day he started breathing heavy.. 12 days later he was gone 9 days before his 8th birthday.. i regret everytime i would get mad at him now.. i wish the whole world could have met him

Ohh it is so sad when our pets and good friends must lieve us, but in the good Lords name who created them, we must believe that we meet again. A dying person years ago said to the nurse, 'please let my beloved dog stay in here, he is waiting for me to go', shortly after she died, and the nurse really heard a dog barking. The family was not surprised, because they had known her life with her beloved dog. We dont die, we lieve the earth and live on in our new home with family and pets......dont let anyone tell you different.....God did not create pets to make us unhappy......right.....

I had a good friend.an 8 week old long haired German Shepard.i named him Tyler I had his company for 15 years .at one point we were homless.a good friend mine had a car on his drive and let me and Tyler stay in that car for a year .that dog kept me alive as we went through a long cold winter. He was with me when I met my wife then our children .15 years we spent together.i miss that dog so much brings water to my eyes when I think of him.such trust and loyalty.i could never have another dog .it broke my heart when he passed .

Sorry for your loss😢😢😢💔🕊 We had alot of dogs as children living on a farm & out in the country. One named Rusty was the most loyal & protective, he was a English Setter/Weimerainer cross. Him & some others went to work with me for many years as I worked for my dad close by. They would often ride in the cart with me. Back then we let them roam free & sadly something would always happen to them, sometimes human caused. Life is dangerous! I'm not on a farm now & I keep my small dog in due to coyotes, wolves, & owls. She goes everywhere with me. I hope to always have at least one! God sure did good when he made dogs! As well as other animals too!

My rescue is approaching 14 and is showing signs that she is just about ready. I spend most of my day with her, talking and petting and since I am retired,, my life pretty much revolves around her.. She was never much to be cuddled, but she does spend more time alone in the bedroom instead of lying on the floor near my desk. She has been a fantastic dog, but VERY STUBBORN, so I just take things at her pace. I am not looking forward to this and have done it many times before in my life and it never gets any easier. I lost my best buddy/friend August 12, 2019. I still haven't gotten over his death. If it wasn't for him (Matrix) I wouldn't be alive today. I will miss him forever and my heart breaks every day. Lost my beautiful Rottweiler 2015 his name was Reuben he was a rescue dog I got him when he was about 5 years old he passed away in his sleep when he was nearly 12 and it still hurts today only managed to get a new pup recently he is a fantastic french bulldog called hank he will be loved and looked after just the same Reuben was RIP Reuben I will see you one day on the other side of the rainbow bridge

Greg Allman said it best. When you bring home a puppy you bring home a heartache. Sooner or later you pay the price. So what. It's well worth it.
