He had already had his regeneration earlier. I always find it funny when people are like...it was so sudden. He literally had a nuclear blaster regeneration on that tower...he had just been reset to have that conversation with Clara, he was already in the process of changing. I really like the way they introduce Capaldi, the way he just appears and stares at Clara...its soo cool

Don't worry. You'll love Peter Capaldi just as much as you do Matt Smith. you also shouldn't worry because they have older Doctors in classic who, and that's what they were trying to bring back with Capaldi. I love it. He's my all time favorite new who Doctor. My 2nd favorite is Matt.😁❤

The final scene was pure happenstance that whole ending wasn't planned.....Karen Gillan being in town gave birth to it. Also Peter Capaldi is awesome.

Don’t worry. Peter Capaldi is an amazing actor. His Doctor is stern, ruthless, but also kind and forgiving. And he gives some amazing speeches.

Fun fact: Both Matt Smith and Karen Gillan had shaved heads and were wearing wigs in that scene. She was filming Guardians and had to shave her head to play Nebula, and he was filming Terminator I think. Moffat figured since they needed to put Smith into a wig, they would have fun with it and write it into the episode.
