What a lovely story. It's sad to say goodbye to a well loved character, no matter if they are a steam engine, diesel, road vehicle, any kind of vehicle or even human. Each character is special in their own way. At least the engines will have something to remember Nancy by 😊.

As was mentioned before, only NWR Tales and NWR Flashback Tales are actually part of the main timeline. This means while we know that this probably could have happened, it wouldn’t have happened in the same way or wouldn't have happened at all due to it conflicting with the main timeline. I'm guessing the point of "Free to Adapt" could also mean it could happen if you wanted it to, but it wouldn’t necessarily be 100% canon. Do I have that correct?
