wow... I cannot believe it's actually over. a part of me is convinced there will be another reboot out of nowhere at some point. I mean... this has become the show that never ends, no matter how ridiculous it gets, for me. And now it did end. not that I'm particularly attached to it. Wow the finale of riverdale genuinely made me cry because I literally started watching this show when I was about 12-13 years old and it was the best thing on television at the time, in my opinion, because I was a HUGE fan of the comics and the comics really shaped me throughout primary and secondary school. It was all me and my friends would ever read ( which probably rotted some part of our brains but who cares) so to hear Betty talk about life and how you should take it in because moments pass yada yada yada I cried. The first scene and the first episode are beautiful, they feel like they could be an early Lana Del Rey video. The show felt like a modern take on Twin Peaks, it came out the same year as the Return. I think I wrote something about it being more a spiritual sequel to Twin Peaks than what the Return was. But now, it is as weird as the Return. It would actually been more fun if the show ended with Archie screaming outside his house “what year is this?”. How could this go on for seven seasons?

Binge watching this video series and getting that medley of all the songs Alex wrote for this show was absolutely amazing. Seeing his development as a creator through a single playlist then it all capped off with a song that had more thought put into it than Kevin’s character throughout every season is so fun to see. We may never get another Riverdale, but we’ll always have it. And these videos.

Riverdale is the only show that has defeated me. I cannot...absolutely CAN NOT finish it. After some of the stupid shit I have powered through, for this to be the show I can't finish is, well, it's weird. I NEVER stop a series once I start binging it. But I got to season 6 and it was like Wile E. Coyote hitting a wall. So kudos to you, Alex, for sticking with it on behalf of all the rest of us!

Me too. I was about 12-13 when this mess started and now I'm heading to college in a month. Since English isn't my native language, I went from just understanding main point of Alex's videos to being able to understand every word. It's wild how much time has passed between Riverdale actually being good and this mess of a chaotic finale. I just watched first season and dropped it, but Alex kept me up to date with everything that happened for all these years😂

I was in 7th grade in a different town with no friends when I was both watching Riverdale live on television and watching Alex’s videos. Now I’m gonna be a Freshman in college and I have so many friends and I’m in a whole new stage of life. Riverdale has been with us for truly everything.

This show, god it had so much potential in season 1. I remember being really impressed and I was so sick of the craziness of Pretty Little Liars so I thought Riverdale was finally something solid to watch. lmao that naivety though. I gave up on the show early season 3, but I stuck with your videos for all these years. Thank you for all the time you put into making these, and sitting through one batshit dumpster fire of a show so we didn't have to. The truly good thing that came out of it was your channel being what it is today!

6 years.. man I was a freshman in high school just like the characters when the show came out and when Alex started his videos. I remember dressing up as Jughead for Halloween my sophomore year. 😂 I’m a junior in college now. I can’t believe I stuck through this whole time (Alex’s videos, I stopped with the show about 8-10 episodes into season 4 if I recall correctly). ❤ Much love to you all, and thanks for 6 years of this Alex.

I still remembering finding Riverdale in 2017 on netlix. It wasn’t advertised at all in the uk but I began it, final year of uni. Getting ready for a night out and needing something to watch. I was drawn to it Purely because Cole Sprouse was in it and I’ve loved him since I was a teen. I wasn’t used to Netflix shows not having entire seasons out so I was hooked by the end of episode 1 and ready to watch another but it wasn’t out yet. Truly been there from the beginning of it. I discovered you shortly after too. End of an era for sure.

Riverdale may not have been the best show out there but it definitely was the most memorable. I have never watched a single ep since it came out but saw all the recap videos and weirdly enough I feel like I'm still going to miss all the ridiculous plot lines, jokes and memes. It truly was one of a kind show. I also feel bittersweet because this is the end of CW's Nancy Drew as well. Pretty much all CW shows are ending now cause I think it got sold and split off. It feels like an end of era not just for Riverdale but in a way for CW as well.
