Goodbye Saigon!! BUTTER BANH MI + Beef Skewers | A Sauce Lovers Dream

The last day in Saigon!
Started off with an intense craving of Bun Rieu. Since I was over in Binh Thanh, and I knew I couldn’t pass up a name like “Beautiful Auntie” I had to give this place a try. Rich, thick, intense crab flavor with a touch of sweet, this bun rieu will feed more than your stomach, it will feed your soul. Soft, tender crab cakes, perfectly cooked snails, and a delicious cha cay make for a delicious bun rieu in Binh Thanh.
Next, I wanted something fried and decadent. I decided to look for bot chien, but bot chien with a twist. I found a place that does the bot chien with ha cao, a dim sum item that you can commonly find on the streets of Saigon in areas like district 5. Unique forsure and I would say you have to try this if you have never had it before.
Final meal, grilled meat, banh mi, and lots of butter sweet sauce. I wish I knew more about this meal, but something tells me I will have many more opportunities to learn about it as I will return time and time again.
And not to forget, a little sweet treat. Little indeed as I just got a couple Banh su que to finish off this final day in Saigon.

Wow! You're coming to Đà Lạt - my second favorite city. I've been there many times, but I love all those times. It's a lovely city. This is a food channel so you'll be in the center of the city to try its cuisine. However, Đà Lạt is very beautiful with architectures from France, when the French were rulling Việt Nam. The mountains and the hills are also beautiful. The city is crowded but its outskirt is beautiful.

Technically, you can find home in almost any Vietnamese cities/provinces, each city has its own vibe. If you prefer urban vibe, Saigon is for you. It has that multicultural vibe. Dalat is cool year-round. I don't have much memory of Dalat because we were only there like 15 years ago. I just remember that the place is cool and has Sapa's vibe. I can't believe after spending a long time in Saigon, I thought you would have said goodbye to Vietnam, but seems like I was wrong, you plan to eat everything in this country. Just like countries with rich food culture, you can't taste everything in just one city, if you skip Hanoi, it's like skipping a country. It's different, the further you go northward or southward depending on where you stand, the clearer you can start to feel like "am I still even in Vietnam? Where am I, is this the same country?" You'll start to lose your mind. Don't forget to try the signature food in each city. Don't be like those regular/ typical / casual travelers who don't get to eat the secret dishes. You amaze me because you search, you dive, you go deep in every alley. Looking forward to see you in Dalat and show me what Dalat has to offer. Honestly I don't know as well. Not looking forward for your last day in Vietnam because even if you have to go back to the States at some point, I have a feeling that you will always come back here, multiple times (like a second home). 16:30 it's Banh Su Where! Que is pronounced like Where. I like Vietnamese sweets, it's not that tooooo sweet like in the States. By the way, since you have been in Vietnam this long, I think you can take the next step and try to actually learn Vietnamese. It'll make your journey much more easier and meaningful when you can talk to local and listen to their story. It sucks to not be able to talk to them, not everyone can have a conversation in English.
