Season 4 really is the best yet. Idk if y'all caught when Eleven went into Max's head at the hospital. There was nothing there. So she's alive but brain dead in a sense. Wondering if her consciousness is alive in Vecnas mind 🤷‍♀️

I always think about how when actors have to spend so long putting on make up and prosthetics *and then* spend just as long if not longer actually filming afterwards! You end up with like an 18-hour day which would be rough regardless but then to be under the hot lights and the weight of the costume etc 🥵

1:07:15 Yes, he could have run away but the point is that Eddie's action had an important function in the story as it diverted the attention/resources of the demobats. If he doesn't do this (even if he hasn't thought through how much he's helping by doing this), the bats get into "Vecna's house." So Nancy, Steve and Robin actually owe their lives to him. (It was the decision of the creators that Eddie would not get out of this battle alive.)

The point was El figured out that relying on being angry or vengeful for her powers wasn’t the way to go, and she discovered that Hawkins, Hopper, Mike and the gang was truly her “home,” but I would like for 8 to return and get her own redemption arc. My theory is that El will have to go to the upside down and assume control in a positive way of the entity known as the Mind Flayer, so Henry loses that power. Maybe El will have to stay in the Upside Down to control that universe..@@AaronPrice0406

But Robin isn't dressed like a girl scout.. she is actually dressed like the teenagers in the classic 80's movie "Red Dawn" Where Russians Invaded a small town in America.. and a bunch of American teens had to fight back against those Russians... Just like this season.. Americans vs Russians lol.. it was paying homage to that classic 80's movie :)

Brenner said that Henry/One/Vecna consumes the memories and abilities of his victims. He takes strength from negative memories, and so he preys upon traumatized people to use their memories as fuel. If he keeps the memories of his victims, then the real challenge of season 5 isn't going to be defeating Vecna, but rescuing Max. Max is the only victim that still has a body to put their mind back into. The real question is if she'll have sight when she wakes up. She's still got that movie date with Lucas.

I like this theory. I also think there is a bigger villain, represented by the red lightning and the 3-headed red dragon in Will's painting. Henry thinks he's the one in control, but this villain is the source of his corruption and the real master of the hive mind. I think it will take 11, 8, and Will using their various mind powers together to beat him, and maybe even the Mind Flayer turning against Henry and the true master, having experienced independent emotions for the first time through Will, and as Dart. Will coming to terms with his sexuality will be an important part of realizing his true power.

What a journey it been for you guys to watch Stranger Things, we all can’t wait for Season 5 next year, but it’s gonna be sad (emotional) when it’s all over, because it’s gonna be the final season of the show, and I would highly recommend Breaking Bad, Mr. Robot, and Oppenheimer at some point

Lucky for El, the collar didn't dampen her powers in any way. It was just a shock collar to control her, which was always his goal....control. 47:05 Vecna was already a monster before he met El or Papa. He killed his mother and sister and framed his father for it for the enjoyment of it. El might've turned him into the physical being that he was.

Mere bullets don't really have any effect on a full size Demogorgan, the one strapped down to the table and the "dead" ones in the tanks are Demodogs, which can be killed by bullets.

I love the attention to detail in the set, props and wardrobe for getting it right for the era. It was surprising to me that the shirt El was wearing for the final episode, my wife actually had that exact same outfit in the late 80's that she wore all the time. Identical colors, print, everything. It really took me back.

Now that you're caught up, my guesses for S5 and Max has to do with what Papa said about Henry. He said that he consumes people. So maybe El will have to enter his mind and free Max's mind or essence or whatever from his (that red tinted area with the floating house parts). Otherwise, it makes no sense for them to choose to keep Max in a coma. They might as well just had Max die die in this episode.

Back to when henri was giving the backstory he said after he woke from his coma he was in the hands of a doctor. Maybe just maybe she is placed in the hands of a doctor who has the same motive as Brenner?

I’m guessing that the dialog about how Henry went in to control the Upside Down will be turned to El doing the same thing by going in and getting (taking) control of the particles, or the “Mind Flayer” and assuming the “Queendom” of the Upside Down..maybe she will have to stay there and transform it into something beautiful. We still don’t know why the Upside Down is stuck in time the day when Will was kidnapped, or why of all possible things it looks like Hawkins..it looked like when Henry first discovered it, it looked like Mars…it didn’t look like Hawkins at all yet..

Lets get personal here.. Stranger Things was something I found on KZbin in December 2018. A time where I wasnt the happiest person nor yet excited with my life. Growing up wasnt easy at that time. And still hasnt been slowly. But when I first watched stranger things on blu-ray the first two seasons absorbed me into the 80s. Being a 2003 child I never liked any modern music or culture. I have and still the odd one out. Stranger Things is to me is what Harry Potter was to the 90s Babies. The story they grew up with. The actors who morphed them into who they are now. Season Two finally honestly in a way saved my life and reset it at the same time. When I started growing up with the actors and watching myself become an 80s Obessed person I became happier and more excited. Stranger Things is the strongest show I think that exist. It bridges generations and genres. People should take a step back and realize that of what society is missing. A lot of it is in stranger things. You cant be afraid of people of power and the casual boogeyman. You dont need social media to be happy. You dont have to be rich. You dont have to like all music. You just have to find yourself surrounded by friends like the kids. Siblings and social groups that fit you. And parents that would fight a demogorgan for you. People shouldnt hate fandoms. Cause its unrealistic but dont become bliss to reality remember whats important most. Family and Living the moment, ignore everything else.

The Duffer Brothers said that season 5 is going to be similar to season 1 but on steroids. This show is just so amazingly done I'm sure it's going to be fantastic. It's fun to theorize what will happen next season, but truly only the Duffer Brothers know hahah (and of course the actors depending on how far they have gotten on filming).

Yes Max is in a coma, her body is still alive but Vecna has her mind, so season 5 ele will have to rescue her mind. Lucas said, she died for a minute and never came back because Vecna takes everything he consumes. Season 5 is another year out. So we have a long time before it arrives. They are still in the middle of filming, and Millie Bobby Brown says filming has 9 more months.

Papa was right. Eleven wasn't ready yet. Her powers obviously go even further, because she can retrieve the dead. Who knows what else is possible. At least she got Max's body back. Her soul is with the others but in Vecna and I think from there she will go with the other 3 victims to fight him and I also hope to come back healthy. The others, on the other hand, are lost because their bodies are also dead. The fact that Will is gay was already indirectly established in season 1 episode 1. That's when his mother told Hopper that he was different from other boys.

True but they couldn't afford to not let her help he would have won anyways and they would have all been dead. It's not so much that her powers weren't ready it is more her emotional state of mind she gets too caught up with emotions when she is losing a fight or when something bad is happening instead of channeling it she could have just thought to snap his neck instead of throwing him around and even if she is weakening when he throws her around she starts crying and gives up instead of thinking of how better to use her powers she needs to believe she is stronger than him just like she believes she could bring Max back even though she has never done that before she thought about it and wasn't going to let her go, if she can squeeze a kids bladder and make ten people bleed out their eyes by popping their brains from the inside, why can't she restart a heart or someone's brain and bring them back?

Yea how his dad and other kids would make fun of him but I thought at the time that was to just mean it was bullying because he is a nerd and weak but now later it ties all together but I didn't want him to like Mike that's just going to make things messy I don't like that it's like if Robin fell for Nancy instead of a different girl that would be ick and complicated so I like how they did Robin's coming out and how Steve is still the only one that knows , he kept her secret but to have Will like Mike is just sad and complicated unless it's mostly because he knows something bad is going to happen to Mike in season 5. They really could have done without any of them being gay or lesbian though it wasn't something needed for the show

@@cjav7287 no it wasn't needed because first of all they didn't make anyone have a gay romance they just made her in love with someone but nothing happened secondly I say it wasn't really needed because this was in the 80s and young kids it was very rare for them to be gay in a suburban area that's why I said it wasn't needed because it didn't add much to the story even though Robin's character did fit perfectly for her to be that way and for her and Steve to become best friends and her Nancy to become best friends without her having a crush on any of them she had a crush on someone outside the group which was fine I didn't think it was needed for Billy to want a MILF with Nancy and Mike's mom either I thought that was uncalled for and unnecessary other than giving Billy somewhere to drive for him to get into a car accident but they could have picked anything else for him to have to drive somewhere to get into that car accident I found that part pretty disappointing of Nancy and Mike's mother but I get they wanted to show the part that their mom wasn't so happy because the dad is a dud and there was a thing in the 80s and 90s of housewives mothers going off and cheating on their boring husbands so I guess that's why they threw that in there. And I am not crazy about the love triangle between Nancy Steve and Jonathan not that it isn't juicy but I don't want her to have to choose because I like them both I hate it that Steve didn't really get closure and didn't get to finish the relationship and that he still in love with her and I don't want Jonathan to get hurt so I don't know if I like them playing that angle I don't know how it's going to turn out, back to the lesbian gay part, in the 80s young kids it was uncommon for them to be gay even though being gay was on the rise in the mid-80s it wasn't as common in the young kids it was more adults and college aged which is why Robbins age is on the verge of being young but old enough to wear someone her age would have came out will I still see him as a little kid I don't feel like it's as realistic and I don't like it that he likes a friend in the group because that just complicates a lot of things because he knows Mike is in love with 11 and 11 is in love with him and he is just hurting for no reason I don't like them doing that to him if he's going to be gay they need him to like someone outside the party it's like Steve is being hurt because Nancy is with Jonathan but the difference between them is Nancy could technically pick between the two Mike cannot he doesn't swing in wills directions that's why it is complicated and totally unnecessary for them to do that to him when it wasn't even that common at that age for that time period I grew up in the 80s in suburban areas it was extremely rare it almost feels like they're trying to push that into the show to appease this time era instead of being authentic to the actual time era, if you look back on 80s movies anyone who is gay was usually an adult making Robin lesbian they made her come out she's older about to graduate that might make a little more sense but then to make Will gay at such a young age, I don't know it feels now that they're just trying to push it upon the audience, but I guess if they were going to pick any of the main characters he would have to be the one. I don't know what they're going to do in season 5 about this now I mean I really don't want a confrontation between him and Mike and l now that's just going to feel so weird because everyone knows he's not going to leave out to be gay I hope they just make him find someone else to like that way everyone will be happy none of this complicated stuff Will has been through enough they need to stop messing with his character lol is he ever going to be happy in this show? First he gets traumatized by the upside down then he gets possessed by the mind flayer then everyone ditches him when he wants to play D&D then he moves away and has no friends to play with and finds out he's gay and likes one of his best friends who is already in love and he's straight they just can't make Will have a happy year can they? Ugh I was hoping Will was going to find a girl in California and open up and stop being shy or if they want to stick with the gay thing make him open up and find someone has a crush on in California but no they kept him shy quiet and in love with his best friend that's just sad and very uncomfortable to watch them do that to the character they just keep making him more miserable and I just don't feel that was needed it doesn't make the story any better I actually disliked it more I didn't care too much about Robin coming out because she didn't try to take Nancy away from her boyfriend or have a crush on Nancy she had her own crushes that could legitimately swing her way so I don't care that they made her lesbian but I don't like to see Will be gay and like someone who will never feel the same way about him, I also don't like it set the boys when he was a kid teased him and called him gay and they turned out to be right I don't like bullies being right about someone. I take it you must be gay yourself but I guarantee you if nobody was gay in the show you would still enjoy and watch stranger things without anyone being gay in it, it an enjoyable show regardless I think everything else was done so perfectly and well done I just think it's unnecessary for them to complicate the relationship between Will and Mike is my whole point

It’s not cgi it’s all prosthetics wich lol absolutely insane seing how real it looks . It was fun rewatching this with y’all, if I were to rank my favorite seasons it would be Seasons 4,1,3,2. I say 4 is my favorite because of the most emotion and engagement I had, also the next level horror/production they brought, and the surprising moments like the reveal of Vecna and him as a kid. I binged this with my mom who loves watching horror films but doesn’t care for many sci-fi/fantasy type stuff but this right here…had her hooked and that just shows the level of this series. I didn’t know what they was cooking up but before S4 dropped I was hearing news about the most money being put into the production of this season 4. Now I hear for season 5 that it’s the last, not for cancellation but more so for the reasons of wrapping up the story like a book from S1 all the way to S5. Also my favorite character is #1 Eleven, #2 Hopper but still got love for everyone else in that circle of family/friends because they all are key pieces in some way💪🏽.

Season 5 started production a couple months ago. Should end in the fall. They said the last two episodes will ruin us. I assume that Vecna is holding Max hostage in his mindscape as some form of leverage. He’s won for now, but he’s smart enough to know that everyone can still stop him.

mbb said today in an interview the cast have 9 more months of filming left which means they'll finish up in December/January. Then there's typically a good few months of post production.. so my prediction is we'll be getting S5 in june/july of 2025.

Something you guys didn't touch on in your discussion which I think was really well done was the fact that Henry/One/Vecna draws upon feelings of anger and hatred to maximise his powers. He, and even Eight, taught this to El. However, El is at her strongest when she draws upon happiness and love. In defeating One and sending him to the Upside Down when she was little she remembered being born, her mother breaking into The Lab to try to get to her, and most importantly the feelings of love her mother had for her in those moments. In overcoming Vecna here in Chapter 9 she drew upon happy memories with Hopper, Joyce, and her friends and the love they all share for each other. It wasn't too in your face, but that battle between happiness and anger, between love and hate, was really well done in my opinion. As for Max, I think her consciousness is still alive, but it's imprisoned within Vecna's mind. My prediction is that the first part of Season 5 will revolve around our guys having to find a way to free Max and return her to her own body before they can take out Vecna for good..... or they could be faced with having to knowingly sacrifice Max in order to kill Vecna.

I said above the same thing, and that she might have to do what Henry did, only opposite..go into the Upside Down and take control, only with positivity, and get the mind flayer away from Henry, perhaps transforming the upside down to something beautiful..because we still don’t know why it’s stuck in time on the day Will was kidnapped, and we don’t know why it went from looking like Mars when Henry first saw it to transforming into a perfect replica of Hawkins..
