Kargoz, I literally never comment on vids but I feel like I need to say this: You are the most real and good dude that I know in this community. I've been watching you for a few months now and you are the first vid that I open in my YT feed whenever you post. You have a great attitude and you are very humble and I love your appreciation for the game and the community. There's nothing more relaxing at the end of the day than popping open a Kargoz vod and chillin out. You're honestly one of a kind and you deserve all of the success in the world. Keep it up bro

Definitely. A game born of a time where the most important thing was the gaming experience. Maybe if the game is really that good, we can get away with paying a small monthly fee. Wow how things have changed, and they'll never revert back

@Sanningen Yea right. The tech may improve but the culture is slipping the other way. No one makes passion projects any more. Its all just about money money money. Micro transactions and "accessible gameplay" (read easy with the false illusion of depth). I mean I say all that and one game did come along that came close to rivaling wow classic in its own way, dark souls. So maybe maybe it can happen again. I think dark souls proves its possible. But still not likely.
@xcvsdxvsx

@Sanningen I'm not a defeatist, i'm not a pessimist or an optimist. I'm a realist. Of course it changes. It changes for the worse every day. Atleast in this kind of way. AAA games are worse every year. Movies are more hollow and more vapid. Indie stuff might be getting better though... indie games and indie music... Maybe something could come from the indy scene that rivals wow... but they have a hard time doing things at scale and part of what makes classic amazing is its scale.

Crazy, life is going by so quick, and not a damn thing we can do. Always nice to smell the roses, and admire the time we have on earth. Almost time for me to go on a hike or fishing with some friends, and just take a break before tbc drops. Hope you're alright man and your fam is good, and congrats on a kid! One day, I'd like to have a family of my own too, 26 and still looking.

I started playing WoW when I was a teenager... I got a computer and vanilla for Valentine's day from my mom in February 2005... I am 33 now... I have 2 sons, a wife, a house, a dog, steady job... Too busy to play WoW but I appreciate people like you who bring the game to me when I can't find the time to play it I can at least listen and watch every once and a while... I definitely will never get that feeling of creating my first character and taking those first steps into azeroth but there is still a good feeling when you enter those old zones and turn the volume up turn the lights down and close your eyes. Tingles like a time machine. I look forward to enjoying a game like this with my son's one day. Peace

I have 31 years old. My first time in wow was on Vanilla WoW 2004, in a computer with 125mb ram Window XP, Olidata. That was my first computer. I was playing with minimum resources. With your video i remember my old friends, my first friend in this game. Now , I think... wow, really beautiful moments in my life. I remember my first Priest running in Westfall, Western Plaguelands watching Uther Graveyard. Running in Arathi. I remember reason why, this game is so special. Friendship, Community, Music. Many things. Good video my friend. Greetings from a Veteran of Vanilla WoW 2004. Darkfantasy

Such a good video. Related to everything. I played vanilla a year after it came out. My brother got it and he was out that night so he told me to make a character. I didn't even know what WoW was. I made a NE and was instantly drawn in. It took me over a year to get to 60. You're right about the music, it tugs at my heartstrings and transports me back. I can see a mob or area and instantly remember being there. I didn't play classic but I was so happy to see it was a success and was glad so many people got to (re)experience it.

I only leveled to like 50 back in the day when vanilla first came out, and avoided all of the eastern kingdom for some reason. Getting to see all the zones this time around as a result was both nostalgic and fun to explore for the first time. This was also my first time raiding too, always just goofed around from tbc-cata in arenas and BGs I had a damn blast these past two years. I know a lot of people were so happy to just shit on vanilla the moment they announced tbc classic, but man I can't remember the last game that kept me in a good mood like this for such a long period of time. It was a hell of a ride, and while I am definitely looking forward to tbc, I cant help but feel a little weird about vanilla already coming to its end, or at least in its current state. All in all though, I'm happy I got to experience it all a 2nd time, and I hope I can hold onto these memories for what its worth

Dude, great video. Thanks for bringing me along for that ride. I think we’re all feeling a bit nostalgic about Classic ending. I started back in 2005, and Classic was the first time in my life I was able to flip the pages back a little and immerse myself into this world that high school me inhabited for a while. My favorite memory of Classic was the first time I got to barrens on my first character. I just stopped and soaked in the soundtrack and looked around. Good memories.

Yours is one of the few streams where you can listen to in-game music in an intentional manner: you put it up on the stage, instead of just leaving it to the background. This is what happens when someone is sharing their personal appreciation for something. For WoW streamers, when they're scrambling for non-DMCA music, it always reminds me of the tale of the poor man who was forever hungry sitting on a box that contained a pile of gold, but he was too hopeless to even check there. Keep up the great streams. You love to see it.

Bro. This right here, is why I subscribe to you. Everything you said in that video was facts. "The tread on the tire" comment hit so hard, ngl. I just turned 30 this year and it really feels like things are inevitably changing, even Classic "graduating" to TBC. I started WoW in TBC so I'll be honest, I'm stoked to the moon about it. But I didn't realize just how therapeutic Classic really was. There were times during the pandemic that were brutal, but zoning in to the ambiance of the Barrens, or Feralas, or Tanaris really did make a difference. I don't often comment on YT vids, but this was the one. Keep up what you're doing, man. Being genuine, being a leader, being a host for community. You really are an inspiration. Ty bro

Wow, a lot of the things you said really resonated with me. Especially what you said about being kind to others and something to the effect of if you see something needs doing, go ahead and do it yourself (paraphrasing). I've really been trying to focus on those things lately. Your lack of "outrage" is actually quite refreshing and I get it. You're here for the journey, not just the destination. As a... Generally more 'angry' person, myself, I feel like I gotta say... I don't really resonate with your go-with-the-flow vibe. But it's very uniquely and characterfully yours, and that's awesome. And that auhtenticity DOES resonate. Being yourself unapologetically, and spreading kindness and community initiative with such passion and sincerity, it's been very inspiring to me. I don't know if you realize this, but it's really really special to be as passionate as you are while not letting any issues - be they big or small, incidental or systemic - affect your calm, your peace of mind. It's very impressive. Passion results in intense emotions in any direction for a lot of people. Such passionate headspaces keep them dangling over a gaping pit of potential anger for the things they care about. Yet you remain a force of calm, masterfully balanced on the fine thread spanning over that ocean of intensity, as it waits to engulf you with triggers should you fall. But you just don't. I have never seen you fall off that fine thread. Kargoz: I appreciate the shit out of you. Even if I don't always agree with your advice or suggestions or opinions on Blizzard or life in general. They are /your/ views, and they are perfect in that way. I, for one, really feel like I've been continuously damaged by forces that control my life, to the point that it's extremely hard to be my authentic self anymore without that damage significantly getting in the way. No meditation, introspection, or sense of community can adequately distract me from that anger; all I can do is direct it away from people who do not deserve it. So, as you can imagine, the view on life you shared just now does not resonate with me at all. But that does not matter. It doesn't need to. I appreciate your authenticity, your passion, your skillful control over your calm, your initiatives in this community, and most of all: your apparent love for it. I always see you lift people up, and you never ever punch down. We all have our own roles we play in the game of life, and to a lot of people in the community I think you played a role of a very effective healer, as well as a great leader. This angrily raging tank thanks and salutes you. ;)

I really appreciate you and the vids you’ve put out man. I remember playing vanilla at my friend’s house in the summer between 5th and 6th grade and being so completely mesmerized by the game I begged my mom to get it for me lmao and after mowing a few lawns I finally got it. My first character was a night elf Druid and I was just so immersed in the game, free from the struggles of being a young awkward kid while I played. Only worried about exploring questing and fishing in this magical endless seeming Azeroth. I am now 27 and have been so consumed in radiology technician school the last 2 years unable to game at all, and you have really truly helped me get through this by allowing me to escape and find solace in your vids. You are the only wow channel I am subscribed to and open your vids the second I see the notification. Such a cool calm and respectful dude with a really warm aura. I feel you! Growing up and getting older changes your view and thoughts on things. I'm 29, have a 4 year old son and the thing I am most afraid of is if something happens to him. It's like your parents always said: "You will understand when your older and have a child yourself." World of Warcraft is one of the pillars in my life that give me peace and joy. It took a long time for me to realize that the thing I enjoy the most in WoW is the leveling and not the raiding and engame stuff. My friends from back then don't even play anymore, but I'm on my own journey through the open world of this wonderful MMORPG. I wish you and your family all the best!

A wonderful story I think relates to this is from Voltaire of all places. It's a story about meeting a Turkish farmer and him sharing his wisdom but one thing that stuck with me is the concept of the garden and that the world is often a big confusing mess but it's always important to cultivate our garden. And I think that it's more than a literal plot of land Voltaire wrote about. It's the love and respect we share with others that is our garden and it's always important to stop and cultivate that.

Always liked your content, been following you since 2016 and your content are always on top. You plan out everything you do and you execute it perfectly every time! Me myself also played on nost, all kronos servers, elysium (before and after you could copy your characters over when nost joined them) and light's hope. I quit in classic at level 54 on p1 when i lost the urge to play. I think Vanilla wow is nothing more than a memory for me from now on. Time to enter the dark portal once again.

I just discovered you right now on my KZbin feed. Dude, this type of “stream of consciousness” monologue is my favorite bro. Feels like I’m listening to a friend. You’ve earned a sub 🙏🏽

You’re the heart and soul of the true classic community, Kargoz. I hope someday we get classic fresh and can relive “our best gaming lives” again, like you said before classic launch.

Not corny man. I feel in a lot of ways this time around was better than the 1st because of people like you, Grays, and a mess of others have made a great community of classic. Thanks for the vids, community, and of course Hardcore. :)

Your attitude is amazing man! So inspiring and wholesome, you really know and feel what the game is all about. For me it's exactly the same, I've never set a foot in AQ40 or Naxx but the leveling experience is incredible, that's what Vanilla was and still is for me. Wish you all the best for the future!

I’ve been feeling so sentimental about the game recently as well, it’s been a beautiful journey and I’ve made life long friends which I’m so fucking grateful for. I for sure didn’t think I’d make it this far into the classic experience. Thank you classic WoW and thank you community 💚 Let’s go TBC!!

In the extra digital age it's paramount to have people like Kargoz to bring our attention to what's real. Keep giving us that 'back of the box' content my man.

I sincerely hope that Riot Games is looking around forums while developing their MMO. They don't make too much half assed stuff. They might deliver.

@@iTzArchitect You're 95% right. However I have high hopes. Namely because of Legends of Runeterra. I played lots of Hearthstone and a tad bit of Magic: Arena to the point I realized I should stay away from card games. However LoR was really well made in every single aspect. Also there's another thing: RIot Games made their fortune on a free to play game based on cosmetics microtransactions. They would know how to make an MMO rall without feeding us bullshit.

Understand... I played wow on and off over the years, from the very start way back when vanilla first came out. I was fresh out of college and living the dream in Las Vegas (musician). After 15yrs there I had to move on though, and come back east to take care of my parents. Wow followed be all this way... lost track of friends online, and in RL as well since I move so much. Its not "corny or strange"...and I couldn't agree with you more on the music. Way back then, studying as a musician, a lot of us felt the same way. Unfortunately, things went to shit (hit by two drunk drivers, lost my parrot/pet, lost my job) for me over the last few years, so going back to wow has been therapy... an escape to look back on better days.

I remember making my first character, a night elf hunter way back in vanilla. Got him to level 12 and looted a green two handed sword that I desperately wanted to equip, but did not have the training to use it. I asked around and found some kind dude who walked me all the way from Darnassus to Ironforge and eventually to the tram that took me to the trainer in SW. The magic of running through all the zones for the first time with my guide and traversing past hostile orcs and crocs in the wetlands and riding the boat out of there is unmatchable especially when you are still a kid. My PC had 64MB of RAM and to get thru IF i had to stare at the ground. Good times.

Nice video dude, appreciate your dedication to the WoW community and honestly I wouldn't have met some of these great people in the community if it weren't for you! I am a casual, so for me its the community experience that drives me. A few good buddies are all I need. Vanilla and Classic WoW have been therapy for me. I knew the experience wouldn't be EXACTLY the same this time around but I still had a HELL of a journey!!

Not gonna lie. I’m happy we got classic even if the version we got wasn’t perfect. Made a ton of friends and became a part of an amazing community. Made tons of memories. I’m also kind of sad to see it end for what seems to be so abruptly. Yeah I’m looking forward to TBC... but I can’t help shake the feeling that all of this seems rushed TF out the door

That's thanks to the min maxing community complaining that there's no content.. Because they tirelessly done all the content in a time frame far shorter than what it was supposed to be.. They'll do the same with TBC and complain about that as well just watch..
