Food Review at GoodDo - The Vegan Eatery
GoodDo is without a doubt my most favourite Vegan restaurant in all of India. Many other excellent Vegan brands and restaurants exist but NO ONE does it quite like GoodDo.
They create food products that look and taste like meat using only plants. If blindfolded and asked to taste the vast majority of meat eaters cannot tell the difference of their mouth watering delicacies.
From fried chicken imitations, to mutton curries and keema pavs, trust me there is something for everyone here. Not to mention the prices are extremely reasonable!
Whether you are a Vegan or not, this is something I would ask everyone to try the next time you are in Mumbai or Udaipur. They will change your perception of how food can be produced that taste just like meat without having to slaughter an animal in the process.

Thanks a lot Arvind for the kind shoutout for the GoodDo outlets! Veganism is about reducing the cruelty-footprint on animals. People who have adopted a vegan lifestyle have significantly reduced their cruelty-footprint on animals. It's people who consume meat and dairy etc. who have a very large cruelty footprint on animals. Ex-meat eaters who have adopted a vegan lifestyle can enjoy the plant based meat without any guilt. Also Plant based meats are primarily meant for the meat eaters who are unable or unwilling to give up meat products. The vegan alternatives help them transition to a more compassionate food choice. A vegan world is possible when people realise deeply the harm their choices are inflicting on animals. This will come about from large scale awareness creation and activism. On the other hand plant based alternatives help non vegans to try and experience a familiar taste and lifestyle but with no cruelty involved. This helps more people to adopt vegan lifestyle and also helps some people stay in the vegan lifestvle. Thanks once again for your kind shoutout! Oh my goddess! Looks amazing! I will definitely go if I take a trip to Mumbai (I'm in Kerala). Have you been to Vegan Vogue in Bangalore? I went there for my birthday (as well as Daily Sushi which is not entirely vegan but has AS MANY vegan options as non-vegan ones, and it's to die for). I had a mushroom, spinach and vegan cheese pizza - truly shockingly good and cheesy. Please do a review of Vegan Vogue next time you're in Bangalore.

I am using this products of GOOD DOT for more than 3 years, and I really love this. These products can be prepared as same as the non vegitarian dishes, and also we can get its taste or even better by adding the same masala that you have been used in the non veg dishes. GO VEGAN🌱

Vegans are against zoos and breeding and "importing" dogs - they are not things. Why would anyone have a crocodile farm? To skin them for luxury bags? That's disgusting. Rescue a native dog and feed them with vegan food, I feed my dogs Drools vegetarian food (100% vegan). Any dog will thrive on this, all breeds have the same nutritional requirements. Would you feed your dog (or zoo animals or farmed animals) with dog meat and dog bones? What's the moral difference between a dog and a cow?

Every meat has its own taste, only in Indian cuisine you find such flavors. If you take the example of fish from sea, every fish has its own distinct taste no matter the seasoning

The reason we name these foods after foods that aren't veggie dishes is simple. These foods try to imitate the flavor of dishes that had animal products in them, without the animal products. And therefore, to better communicate the flavour profile and type of dish, it's easier to just call it " vegan fried chickn" instead of let's say "soy protein mixture with flour coating". First of all, trying to avoid words like or similar to milk and cheese and sausage forces us to use descriptions for the food that aren't accurate. Ofc we can use words like m!lk instead of milk to show that there's a difference, but if we aren't able to use such words, then we end up starting to loose accuracy when describing the product. Imagine calling coconut milk "coconut juice". To me, coconut juice could mean many things, and it may confuse me when I'm trying to get coconut milk from the supermarket. Secondly, using words like sausage etc is totally vegan. No animal is harmed when we name a vegan sausage with that word. This idea that we shouldn't call it sausage is pure semantics. We call it sausage bc it gets the point across and it's convenient and communicates the idea of the product well. Third of all, in many cultures, words like milk and sausage etc has been traditionally used to describe dishes that are fully vegan. Just because the West isn't used to it, doesn't mean that it doesn't happen! In the end, it's all semantics. We are all just trying to find ways to communicate with other in a comfortable and comprehensive way, and if that means that we sometimes say words like vegan sausage, so be it.

Yes of course! There's many vegan bodybuilders and simply gym enthusiasts who love building muscle, while also being vegan. I can suggest you some people who do just that: Hench Herbivore Simnett nutrition Gaz oatley (this guy is mostly a chef, but his meals are delicious plus nutritious, and you can clearly see that he's doing fine on that diet) Hope this helps!
