brother, not only vegetarian need to be paired with multiple dishes, their bioavailability is to put is subtly , shit, and youd agree with it too. And it also seems that i can eat 2 say 3 bowl of daal in one go, and that will give me say 50 or may go upto 100 grams of daal. even then, i would only get about 12 grams if i am lucky, whereas, lemme eat 100 grams of chicken breast, id get about 25grams of protein after adjusting bioavailability, and any non-vegetarian can eat 200 grams of chicken very easily, so i guess this argument is only suitable for people who know very less about protein digestion, and certainly those who are not aware of bioavailability. DO BETTER TO DEFEND YOUR STANCE WHICH SEERATES ME FROM CHICKEN AND MEAT

I will tell a logical answer for these: in the food chain we read in our class. The plant has more process to regrow it self. Like we eat the fruit and throw it's seed or plant it seeds will lead to grow new plant, mitigate the plant to form new. But if we kill an animal which is feeding on plant. We are hampering both indirectly the plant it consumed and the animal also which we killed. Thus double hamper to the ecological system. Double problem to the ecosystem. Plant are of different types and can make its baby by its own. Asexual plants.

Hi Arvind! The thing to understand is that if we don't eat a vegetable or fruit when it is mature enough to be plucked and eaten, it dies; while for animals - they are, more often than not, not even allowed to live out their entire lifespan because of the meat industry. Someone I once said this to argued that in the wild too animals don't live out their full lifespan. Firstly, several do. Secondly, predatory animals and birds don't engage in rampant killing. Thirdly, till the moment an animal in the wild is killed by a predatory bird or animal, s/he lives in freedom - something humans rob from animals born and raised in factory farms.

Hi Arvind! Most people aren't even aware that there's a rise in diseases because there's a rise in cruelty to animals. The suffering humans put out has to return to them in some form or another. If one looks at the Puranas, one can clearly see that it is only asuras who relish meat and that meat makes them cantankerous and fond of noise and chaos. What is dis-ease? A form of chaos in the body-mind.

@jaybolt100 Name one think tank govt has? My mother directly with NIN and govt midday meal schemes, they have in house nutrionists and economists helping them make the decision, not think tanks and no they are severely corrupt, officials take away the eggs to sell instead of serving in many areas and they have heavy incentives to do this for their own reasons. Welfare of children comes last really. Check it for yourself. Plus, the govt agreed to it for economical reasons. Eggs were removed from govt schools in north India by BJP, as part of their campaign against it. Now that doesn't make it right, does it? Political parties have their own agendas so and governments have their own constraints, it's better not to look at them for inspiration. Also govt doesn't have think tanks.

@jaybolt100 corruption is a different issue let's leave it aside. It's present everywhere and doesn't really have much to do with what we're talking about, I just told you what we witnessed personally. Anyway my main point, govt follows people, not the other way around. So just because govt does something doesn't mean it's right. Like govt changes policies only after people change, not the other way around. It matters what people think is right. Also, bjp does that in the north to appeal to upper caste voters there who don't eat eggs as part of their diet for their caste reasons. it's got nothing to do with children or nutrition. They have huge upper caste populations in some areas and don't let other castes eat animal products which I dont support

🥛🐂🐄 DAIRY sector in India contributes for over 4️⃣.5️⃣% of GDP. Dairy provides livelihood to 1️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ million landless or marginal farmers. Each farmer is an owner in DAIRY industry , whereas with VEGAN MILK ownership is with MNCs… Sabka saath, sabka vikaas🇮🇳❤
@GST6647
@GST6647 6 сағат бұрын
@jaybolt100 Hi man, nice to see you again. The result of pollution and climate change from dairy hurts marginal farmers more than anyone. We as a society have a moral obligation to provide employment that does not hurt the climate and marginal populations in the long run. Now both you and I know having dairy farming backgrounds, that the milk selling business has razor thin margins. Big companies like Amul, and milkymist make a lot of money by selling curd, paneer and chaas. When cars were introduced in the beginning horsecarts, pullers, makers everyone gradually had to migrate other areas of employment and many of them found jobs in the automobile sector as well. So it's best not to against developing a cleaner and greener India. I also remember you mentioning that the dairy industry and farming in India have a symbiotic relationship. That's not true, is it? the use of cow and Buffalo dung is mostly used for cooking (which is sad because the smoke from burning anything is extremely unhealthy and cancerous). It's rarely transported to farms now to be used as fertilizer with modern fertilizers coming at a lower price in most of the areas. If buffaloes are fed straw grass they don't produce proper milk, I think you also might know this already. Delhi is one of the most polluted city in the world and it's because the straw, hay and agricultural waste from farms is being burnt at astronomical rates in haryana and chandigarh, that air passes to Delhi resulting in some of the most polluted air in the world. Dairy and agriculture in modern India don't share a symbiotic relationship. It's also easier to feed the population, and meet nutritional needs through a plant based means without causing more harm to the environment. Marginal dairy farmers are often exploited in the worst possible way, just like small paddy farmers but they go through with this taking up higher costs of maintaining these farms because there is demand in the society for rice and dairy products. Key is in consumers hands. That is why I never ever blame dairy farmers because for them it's a matter of livelihood whereas for us it's just choosing a different thing to eat. I often tell my friends and family to pick finger millets, sabja seeds etc as dairy replacements (they have higher and better nutritional values and much of the produce comes from more backward classes, big farmers prefer paddy fields over its price stability and these crops are extremely resource intensive with lower nutritional content). Next let's address the ethics of economic growth, no one would want temporary economic growth at the cost of permanent destruction. The tobacco industry is not banned despite being more harmful than many other banned drugs for economic reasons. Govt also gives out licenses and encourages liquor business in many states in India. Govt cares about economic growth but it's on us to ask ourselves at what cost? Because govt is not going to make the decision unless people support better practices. Another reason I also never blame small dairy farmers for cruelty, I've personally seen many of them cry seeing their cattle cry after they sold them to slaughterhouses. As you might know, these animals are extremely perceptive, they resist going to the slaughterhouses often with all their power, they're dragged there forcefully and often their bones are broken in this process. You've also mentioned that vegan milk is from mncs, both dairy and non dairy companies aren't owned by MNCs. They're many junk food companies which use dairy Like Cadbury dairy milk which are owned by MNCs. You can make your own vegan milk at home but you can't own a buffalo in a city and make your own milk. Lastly, all the vegan milk companies in India are made and based in India, sogood, onegood, sofit, altco, urbanplatter, etc. The reason for this is not exactly patriotism or sentiment, but because it just doesn't make any financial any sense to import something that's super easy to produce within the country. This could generate employment with higher margins than dairy farming for backward classes with no land because it doesn't involve the high fixed and maintenance costs of animals but only involves production with cheap raw grains. But for that to happen, consumers need to choose vegan

@@GST6647 🙏 1️⃣ methane from dairy production is not of much concern because of its relatively short duration in the atmosphere. Unlike carbon dioxide (CO2), which lasts from 300 to 1,000 years in the atmosphere, methane typically breaks down in about 12 years. In the US the sectors that contribute the most emissions to climate change are transportation (28%), electric power (25%), and industry (23%) and these emissions are mainly related to fossil fuels. In the US, agriculture accounts for about 10 %,, of total greenhouse gas emissions. Methane from cattle digestion and stored manure makes up 4.5% of total emissions in the US. ( no data on India, so extrapolate). If u want to ban dairy industry for climate concern, u should also ban transport, industry, electricity which are contributing even more to pollution… shall we stop all of them at once?😂 I don’t know the farming practices in north India… I will tell you the scenario in Karnataka (and other southern Indian states). We don’t burn cow dung for cooking… thanks to our governments who give subsidies to build BIOGAS plant(GOBAR GAS)… which is clean fuel & protects us from price hikes of LPGs… I live in a small village with 80 houses, we have 50 biogas plants, & others are in construction process… so instead of relying on fossil fuel LPG, we dairy farmers help the nation & environment by using BIOGAS PLANTS… so most METHANE from cow dung is used for cooking… so we southern dairy farmers are protecting the environment ✅… I hope North Indian states have such plans🙏. 2️⃣. Symbiotic relationship… modern CHEMICAL FERTILISERS coming at lower prices because of subsidies (burden on government tax). Most fertilisers has NPK whose raw materials are MINED ORES,FOSSIL FUELS, etc… Chemical fertilisers causing water pollution, soil pollution, decreased soil fertility, etc… Read about❤ SUBHASH PALEKAR sir… farmers from Maharashtra, Karnataka,& other South Indian states are now using JEEVAMRUTA, GAU-KRIPAMRITA whose raw materials are cow dung, cow urine… thereby contributing to less import of raw materials for CHEMICAL FERTILISERS,less POLLUTION, timely availability of organic manure✅. 3️⃣ Delhi pollution from Haryana, Punjab farmers.? Educate them🙏. We South Indian also grow sugarcane, paddy, millets,etc… we don’t burn the hay straw… we use it for MULCHING, BIO-DIGESTER MANURE…we South Indian farmers have a responsibility to keep our environment clean✅… educate ur local farmers🙏. 4️⃣. Marginal profits from AMUL? that’s sad, because with NANDINI we are getting reasonable profits… we owe our rural economy to NANDINI🩵💙… we farmers get loans, health insurance from milk unions🩵💙… we are proud of NANDINI… I’m not sure about AMUL… 5️⃣ demand for rice, wheat… very true✅🙏… I’m from south Karnataka… we use RAGI (finger millet) as staple… north Karnataka use sorghum, pearl millet… Yes, rice, wheat demand more water irrigation… so Indian citizens should reduce rice, wheat & consume more millets which are less water demanding, disease resistant (so less pesticides)… let’s reduce RICE, WHEAT… more to MILLETS❤💚✅. 6️⃣PRICE STABILITY… thanks 🙏…another bid reason why farmers choose dairy, poltry, meat🥛🥚🐓🍗🐄🐂. Dairy , egg, meat always have a mixed MARKET PRICE, whether it’s floods or drought… whereas vegetables, fruits prices vary depending on climatic conditions… Sometimes tomatoes are for 5rs/kg, sometimes 100rs/kg… so are other fruits & vegetables… Any human needs an economic stability to feed his family🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒🧑‍🧑‍🧒👨‍❤️‍👨.

Similarly I buy milk from shops🥛🥚… 9️⃣. 1 kg soybean market price =120 rs 1 kg soybean yields 7.5 litres. 1 litre soy milk = 135 rs.. 7.5 litres of soy milk from 1kg soy bean is 1012 rs… But a farmer might have sold soybean for around 90rs… So, for every 90rs a farmer makes, the VEGAN MILK company makes rs 1012… How much profit is the farmer getting from VEGAN MILK❓⁉️❔ 🩵💙🐄🥛… Now let’s consider a NANDINI MILK FARMER… 1litre of NADINI MILK = Rs ₹45, or 50. Farmer gets Rs 38 for 1litre of milk… So maximum profit is shared with farmers✅💚🙏… Now u understand the difference between VEGAN companies & DAIRY companies? ❌❌no sir, I don’t have time to prepare vegan milk everyday, I would rather CONVENIENTLY buy dairy milk that shares maximum profit with the FARMERS🐄🥛💚. 9️⃣ VEGAN activists concerned about environment should also advocate against RICE, WHEAT that demand more water & promote MILLETS❤✅…

But if we use the skin which was anyways going to be thrown in the dustbin for making leather then it wont be considered as violence. Because anyways the harm was done and anyways it was going in the dustbin. Then why is leather unethical. There are some animals that are only killed for their skin like lions and crocodile which i agree is unethical, but what about hen, goat, sheep etc skin which are being killed for their meat.

The point is, we are still looking at animals as commodities. The problem is in the eyes which after looking at a dead animal thinks why not use it for my consumption. Let's say a company starts to sell off products made out of human skin which were already dead. Would you take it? Or would you like to make some bag or shoes out of your relatives skin after they are dead. No right? It sounds so cruel and evil. So the problem lies in the eyes. Assuming the leather industry operates separately and has no connection to dairy. Let's say if someone purchases this skin which is from a dead cow. They will promote it by wearing and showing, selling that skin of the dairy animal. This serves as an advertisement so instead one can promote the vegan version. In reality, the skin leather is not produced from just a dead animal, the animals are killed because in order to meet the increasing demand the manufacturing supplier won't wait for the animal to be dead. Also, dairy industry supplies the skin. So when someone purchases it, the money goes towards the atrocities of the dairy industry.
@Mayur_Kedare
@Mayur_Kedare 6 сағат бұрын
The leather or skin of the dairy animals even if it is from dead animal's body parts promotes the idea that such things should be worn when it should not. It is wrong to view animals as property and inanimate objects. If someone is wearing or selling, they objectify the animal. Most leather is a product of dairy industry where living sentient animals are killed and their dead body parts are used. It's not like the animal died from natural causes or lived life and died in old age. The manufacturer supplier can't wait they have to meet the demand and supply. Whatever the case skin from killed animal or who died from natural causes is promoting the idea that this can be purchased instead you can buy vegan version and promote this.
