Egg Farmers Don't Want You To See This Video | Why I Don't Eat Eggs | Interesting Speech

When an egg hatches there is a 50% chance for it to be a male and 50% chance for it to be a female. A female chick grows up to be a hen and hens lay eggs, a male chick grows up to be a rooster and roosters don’t lay eggs. So what is the point of having a male chick in the egg industry.
I mean they will consume more food than the females and also will not provide any resources for me to continually exploit from them and sell for a profit. So the day these chicks are born they are separated based on gender and these male chicks are thrown alive into huge grinders and ground up alive. Else they are thrown into giant containers containing water and they are drowned or they are just dumped into huge garbage disposal bags and thrown out like rubbish into the dustbin.
We crush them, suffocate them, break their limbs, rip off parts of their bodies, drown them and discard them as if their lives are worth nothing when they have done absolutely no harm to us. The 2 mistakes that these chicks made were 1. They were male and 2. They are not human, both mistakes that they had no control over.
Now to prove to you just how hypocritical all of this is look at this example. Imagine if I took a blender right now and placed it on this table and put 3 baby chicks alive inside. And I asked you to come forward and put the switch on, hear those babies’s screams and kill them. How many of you would be able to do it? Definitely most of you cannot. Now let’s say I told you I would pay you 10,000 rupees if you come forward and put the switch on, how many of you could do it. Some may take the money and do so but once again most of you cannot.
Now let’s say someone comes forward to take the money and put the switch on, how many of you would try to stop them? Almost everyone would.
Now this is where we have to use our brain and think. Most of us cannot bear to see a video of animals being killed, we would not abuse an animal if asked to, even if we were bribed to and if we saw someone attempt to hurt an animal in front of our very eyes we would actually try and stop that person. Now that in itself speaks volumes about you and how much you are against animal abuse, but each time you consume egg or egg products you are the one paying someone else to turn that switch on on your behalf. But you know what, when compared to the female chicks I think the male ones are lucky because they escaped from an even worse fate that their sisters are going to endure.
A hot iron blade is used to slice of the tip of their sensitive beaks and toes before they are crammed into a tiny cage where they will be forced to lay eggs for humans for the rest of their lives. The reason their beaks and toes are cut off is because when they live in such cramped conditions they tend to peck and scratch at each other for more space, such pecking and clawing may cause damage to the hen, which leads to death and therefore less egg production.
She is forced to go through menstrual cramps and pains on a daily basis so that we can steal that one object she discharges from her body. She is forced to stand in a crowded condition without having even enough space to spread her wings. She is used, abused and exploited just because she is not human and because she cannot fight back. How can we humans call ourselves civilised yet still support this?
Many that are unable to bear the strain on the body from laying 100s of eggs soon pass away. Those who still survive live barely to 2 years of age.
Due to the unnatural conditions and strain put on their tiny bodies they begin to lose their feathers and start developing ailments. At this point when they are no longer able to lay enough eggs to make a profit, the hens are killed and used as meat.
It is from birth to death a life of pain and anguish.

Before finding your channel, I knew I agreed with vegans, but still, I was not fully vegan (no dairy, red meat, but I did eat eggs, birds, and fish, honey) As of now, only a month or so after doing my research I no longer eat eggs or birds ever and I’m working to cut out fish and honey to become entirely vegan! Currently I’m about 90% there and I think I’ll reach my goal of 100% vegan soon. Broilers are different breed of hen which come to full size within some 3-4 months.. where as layer hen are a different breed of hen. male layers take some 10months to gain full weight. So they are a loss to farmer. They are not grown into adult birds..
