Couldn't you do a triple twist of the wire along the part of the house that you don't want correction to complete the loop? So you could run it along the house then back and forth two more times to complete the loop?

Good question. I think when two wires are twisted their magnetic fields are opposites and cancel each other out. I think a third might unbalance that equation. But honestly that's a guess.
