Thanks for sharing! Want to Love! But closed cloud Eco-system,proprietary stylus means theirs or the Highway! As all hands and writing styles can be handled by only one pen type. Coupled with no SD card slot makes for deal breaker for me. Could have accepted all if it had a SD card slot. As comes across you need to use our cloud or be ham-strung on total size of internal ram. Which equates to possible running into wall if needing more internal local storage. So super premium priced ham-strung device think I'll pass and wait for the newer technology to trickle down into a more realistic priced open android device with a SD card slot.

You can actually use other styluses because it uses the windows stylus protocols I think, I've seen some other reviews where people try them and they work. I do think it's kinda dumb of them to ditch walcom tech though.

It's clever how they aren't positioning it as a replacement for the RM2 but rather a different device that compliments it well for a specific audience. Personally I still prefer the RM2 as I favour contrast / speed over colour for my note taking. I also like that I have several ESR pens I switch between depending on my mood, each giving q very different feel :)

I got it today and love the paper like feel but I can't stand the super grey screen! I use the back light on max which helps abit, I'm hoping I get used to it! Glad you mentioned it because haven't seen many reviews mentioning it.

I've heard that USI v1 styluses will work for basic writing, but not with any tilt sensitive pens. Could you please test that?

That's a pretty bad deal for that price point! And you keep saying it's not Remarkable's fault! Well they are the one who chose the underlying beast & they are ones pricing it on the extreme high side! How's that not their fault?

Interesting choice they made, wondering why they chose EINK Gallery 3 instead of kaleido 3?

It's likely because Kaleido 3 is even dimmer. But sadly it looks like Gallery 3 is also dimmer than Carta screens. Given the compromises in speed, it's a dang brave move from them.

As someone who owns this, I personally love that they went with Gallery. I can see the screen without having to drain the battery by having the front light on all the time. And the colors look so much better than kaleido

Bought this product, was disappointed with the latency of the pen to the tablet, and I don’t have the best vision in the world so I found the backlight beyond inadequate. Brightness on full is comparable to an iPhone at around 30% brightness

Great video. Could you answer my question about the RPP? Talking about the writing experience, and only that, how would you score it? Does it match the sony DPT-1 feeling, like the Mooink Pro 2C? Or it is not as good as this device? Thanks!

The Linfiny shell (mooonk, dpt quaderno,) is still King. It has a realistic low profile paper feel The paper Pro is feeling a little bit on the harder ballpoint side due to its plastic tip Have they gone with a graphite composite tip or perhaps something they can change in the future, they might hold a candle to the DPT

Yes, there's no need for the pen to be powered at all Everyone from Stadler, to pilot uses battery free devices with thousands of levels of pressure sensitivity

Hi, I use a remarkable 2 without the subscription and you can definitely use notes and PDF’s. However I do plan on getting the subscription though because it has added benefits like unlimited cloud storage, protection plan and some other minor things. The details can be found on their website. And the subscription is only a couple dollars a month so pretty cheap in my opinion

colors and a playstore are two things I dont need in my e-ink tablet. I read school books and mangas - they dont have colors. Also I am not an artist. And apps are being provided by my phone. So they are definetly not a must have for me. I care more about productivity tool and options. Unfornutaly, the produvtivity part dont get the attention its deserve, which is funny, cause those devices are meant for productivity usage in first place.

Alot of ppl got pink gradient screen because of defective LEDs and support gaslight their customer to think its normal and wont let them do replacement lmao

@@psynurse I found a reddit thread where two people said they had a problem with a pink gradient. One had a bit of trouble documenting while the other quickly got the return process started. I assume the first one also got the return going with the tip from the second one. Seems to be a rare problem, not lots of people, and of course not connected to any LEDs.

There is a segment (that I'm part of) that just wants a great note taking device that truly feels like writing in a paper notebook and doesn't have all the distracting stuff off an iPad. I'm sure iPad is great for you. I've loved my remarkable 2 for a couple of years and will never go back to paper

I never understood this "you can sign documents with this" notion. You can't. Digital signatures require verification and a digital footprint. No business or legal entity in their right mind will accept a PDF without proof of signature. You need Adobe Sign, DocuSign, or something. It feels like false advertising to say you can use this to sign documents. I think it's only said by people who don't understand how digital signatures work.

@@green_cafe incorrect. When you get documents for example someone sends you a PDF to do your taxes and they say "Hey, can you sign the engagement letter and sign the bottom of page 12?" Then you can open the pdf, sign said letter and page 12, and then immediately email it back It is not false advertisement in any way shape or form. It is entirely correct and removes the intermediary of having to print, sign, scan, email

Yeah, I'm just gonna go ahead and wait for a device that doesn't try to sell you on the actual downgrade that is one of these gimmick colour screens. Way too many trade-offs for the incredible opportunity to read colour kids' books or do derpy 9 colour doodles. Who are they trying to sell this to? Kids these days don't read or draw anyways.. Completely out of touch. Way too much coke on the exec's tables at Remarkable.
