What problems do you find with your right shoulder in your golf swing?

Another great perspective video- Nice of your recognition for Steve Bann- had the leaderboard 15 or so years ago and thought I was on path to great golf until others informed me “bad idea”. Noticed in old training video Steve had right left flexed at top, in backswing and part of his discussion of rear “weight set for Stuart A. Seems like you have learned and refined concepts and are willing to advise us. Thanks… Seems any swing works with hours of practice. But good grip and solid concepts makes process quicker and better to repeat. Unique perspectives that are unlocking best motions and geometry for better golf😊

Such a lovely message Jack, thank you my friend. Steve had a huge impact on me and I’m so happy you had a leaderboard, a sleeping giant of a training aid, shame they quite the program. Times move on and understanding changes as you say, thanks for sharing Jack. Always warmly received Sir. Best wishes Stu 😊

Mr Stuart !, top , tops, tops again ,! good heaven : how can you be so outstanding in your knowledge and the quality of your teaching ? you provide a path from conscious competence towards building "feels " and becoming "unconsciously competent " Mr Stuart : god's: sorry Golf's gift to us mere hackers ? And contrary to what I have been told , it is not a question of playing with your right hemisphere , rather to have a blend of both hemispheres functioning in " unison " ........

Hey Herve - such humbling feedback my friend, thank you, truly. You speak much sense too my friend and wish you golf mastery sooner rather than later. Best wishes Stu 😊

hi there : the story is this : if one follows your sound " and scientific " advice , of course it works ! before I knew you I was already a decent golfer but even when I was swinging fairly well , I always had that "feeling " of not being sure of why it worked well ! and as you mentioned in a very polite way , the amount of garbage and complete counter truths ones is taught, is .... flabbergasting ! to say the least . With you I know now exactly if I play a "mediocre " shot why.... the way our neural system and brain works is to practice slowly and at a level of difficulty , just a little above what you're proficient to do ! (read "the talent code" :by Daniel Coyle greatness is not born , it's grown ! ) ( even Mozart worked very hard at his craft , starting at the age of 3 and his father was a good musician ...... ! ) and if our biomechanics and kinesiology follows the laws of physics and gravity , the results are stupendous within very few weeks.and the joy of playing. increases exponentially........ so you make a great contribution to humanity.............@@GoodGolfCoaching

Excellent Video. The feel of moving backwards. Very interesting. Looks like this "feel" will "open up" the chest/create space in the backswing. Looking forward to trying this.

Stuart are you meaning to tell me when a 16 year old Tiger Woods without any instruction had a stronger grip, "fanning" the club open on the way, loaded shoulders and posture, soft relaxed legs knew all along how to swing the club appropriately - what madness is this. Another Good Coaching vid - this in it by itself is helpful and totally ties in with Stuart's other fundamental vids. well done!

I know, right, utter madness. Shame he ever got coached. 😂😂 - you did make me chuckle out loud ! Best wishes Stu 😊

Thanks Stu, an interesting insight into something that isn’t much spoken about. I have used different areas of the body as a trigger to swing back and on the downswing. The shoulders is one of them and when I do I seem to have a super smooth swing but I always thought that it might limit my turn as I forget about my hip turn. I did pay particular attention to the scapular movement so this is maybe where I’ve gone off track. If you have any thoughts on the movement of the scapular that would be good to hear. It’s also interesting to see how you relate the shoulder to the hips if connected to the rib cage. Looking forward to the second part. ⛳️

Hey Mark / im going to work through various body parts and get deeper into the biomechanics as the channel moves forwards. Don’t want to go too hard too soon. Thanks so much for the positive feedback, really appreciated. Best wishes Stu 😊

Stuart--really appreciate your insights on creating rotation. As a golfer who has constantly been coached to get more turn from the upper body and correspondingly working on stretches and drills to increase my range, it is a relief to discover that what you're teaching makes that all happen! So glad to have found you and to work w/ you on Skillest!

Okay one important question, when I push force down on my teraband and do backswing/downswing, should the shoulders stay locked in their shoulder sockets, because if i rotate in downswing my trail shoulder will go forward, but it can also go forward indepently in its own shoulder socket. So do i keep it back/down and rotate my hole torso to get my trail shoulder forward, or is it a combo of shoulder going forward in its socket and rotation... Sorry for the long message, hard to explain what i meen but i hope you get what i am saying..

The shoulder doesn’t actively move independently Charles - good question. Hope that answers it. Best wishes Stu 😊
