Just recently found your channel and love the fact you don’t show club/ball speed etc like others who just wanna show off how far they hit it! Working my way thru your vids and implementing some bits that apply to me. I’ve always struggled with getting the clubhead going inside from the off and across the line at the top. I’m only down the road from precision so hoping to book in some lessons with you when I’ve got the time and money!

Another great video, I have played golf for over 40 years to a low single figure handicap, I have to admit to having an old fashioned knee slide swing, I am half way through the recovery of a hip replacement and when I return to golf in a months time I intend to fully embrace your videos and change my weight transfer to the modern style

Been on ur channel for a while now. But, only last wk, I really understand the pulling & left leg action (toe-heel). Before this I'll do it separately, & boy it mess-up as can't sync it properly. Last wk only I understand, that one actually need to use the left leg to 'assist' the hand to pull the club. To phrase it- utilising left ft pressure as an 'additional force' to ur hand in 'Pulling' the club.Then walla, it just all click & sync-up. No more sliding to the left, I'm pivoting within my spine axis. Thanks Stu.

Really enjoyed that one. Almost a bitesize manual to compliment a few of your videos in one visit. Had a great night off the tee a on Tuesday.....thinking of your movement of the hips/feet. Felt a bit 'stenson step' into my right side, not really done it until recently. Then making the head heavy by swinging it thru strike rather than impact being an event; collecting the ball on the way thru. Magic stuff stuart

Thank you Stu, wonderful summary and getting back to just a great traditional swing that has been coached “out of us” by a lot of modern instruction ! Gives me faith to see this all work. I do have a question on “pulling”. Is there a right and wrong way ? If not careful you can come down steep. I have recently found just releasing more allowing the club momentum to really shape its natural path works? Curious on your view as I spent a lot of time on you previous detailed “pull forward and down “ video ? By the way a really like the start with the feet to generate the hip and not consciously “move” the hips.
@GoodGolfCoaching3 ай бұрын
Hi Peter - many thanks for the very kind comments. The pull direction will be greatly influenced by the shaft pitch in the pull phase. Watch my "Steep and Shallow" swing video for more insights. Hope that helps. Best wishes Stu

Hey Stu love the content as always , question regarding pulling the club . Ive noticed my shoulders opening up too early causing pulls and pull draws, off the planet ATM. When pulling how can you stop the shoulders opening up too early causing over the top ?
@GoodGolfCoaching3 ай бұрын
The shoulders opening up too early, is not possible my friend. Focus on more pressure moving towards your lead foot in your backswing. I have a fantastic video coming out next Tuesday, just for you. 😊 Members of my channel can see it now, but if you can hold off, Tuesday you’ll be able to catch it! Hope that helps. Best wishes Stu.

Ciao Stu. Great video. A question about handle starting the backswing: is it correct pull down with the left hand while the right one is exercising force upwards (as I had the theraband)?
@GoodGolfCoaching3 ай бұрын
You reference the backswing and down swing. Can you clarify?
@carcose3 ай бұрын
Sorry Stu for my English. When you start backswing: left hand push down, right hand pull up. A sensation similar to the one when you use theraband. @@GoodGolfCoaching

I can feel the pull but when I apply the down the club head pitches out then down to ball…on an outside in path! What am I doing wrong? Thanks

Too many variables, I’d be guessing Glen.

Continue watching another video…I can create the “down” not by physically pushing down (causes shaft pitch out) but the down is created by the pressure in the left foot(rotation)?
@GoodGolfCoachingАй бұрын
Honestly Glen, I don’t do guessing my friend.
@paulwebster26163 ай бұрын
Only recently discovered you. Loving your approach As a coach of fifty years . However I’m confused with your interpretation of foot pressures . To me you are stacking and weight is on left foot during majority of backswing?
@GoodGolfCoaching3 ай бұрын
Hi Paul thanks for sharing you thoughts. I would grab a pressure mat or plate, and have a play with the forces needed to creat speed and rotation. Hope that helps give you some guidance or watch this video to explain more - kzbin.info/www/bejne/d3rUmmOngraCedksi=C1qJwS6KPjRXRXxi best wishes Stu 😊

Thankyou, I was confused at first. Yes your weight IS on your left foot thru 80% of your backswing .

Are you trying to maintain the cup in your left wrist through out the whole swing?

Unless you have an overly flat left wrist, corrupting the wrist angles is never a good idea. Hope that helps.

Why don't you show in slow motoin when down starts what moves first. You plant your foot left on to groun. Then does it make the left hip move behind you and then only you hit the ball with your arms and hands?
