Stu, your explanation and demonstration is superb. I know many will say that it’s a flip, but we have to better understand the golf swing science to realize that there must be a breaking phase to accelerate the club head, and not a dragging of the handle. Cheers.

Stu Thank you for these videos. In the last week i have learned more and my swing has improved more then i have been able to improve it with the 5 lessons and 100's of other videos i have watched. The pull the handle video and this video have been fantastic. I was hitting my 7i 20yds farther today and i am still trying to get comfortable with these. You are the Best Coach on YT in my opinion. Cheers✌️✌️

Hi Stu, as always great videos. Qq - what are the wrists doing in this instance? How are they “uncocking”? Extention to flextion and radial to ulnar? The swings are so fast that it is difficult to make out what needs to happen. Tx.

Are you sure you haven't seen my swing? Boy I needed to see this. One of my problems (as a lefty) is my top hand is the dominant hand and wants to dominate the unload. Work in progress. That's good coaching. Looking forward to seeing the vid on Saturday 👍

@GoodGolfCoaching yes I watched it this morning thanks. I have a lot of wrist set in the downswing so the stall out part is very important for me. Thanks

Hi Stu - do you think the left foot helps in the break phase - like a javelin thrower uses their front leg to throw over
@GoodGolfCoachingАй бұрын
Absolutely; just like a cricketer who bowls, like a footballer that kicks; every lead foot in sport allows the brake phase and the pivoting of the right side to unload around and appose the lateral force and encourage rotation.
@John-nl2ktАй бұрын
Hey Stu could you give me some ideas on how to make changes in the swing.. I for many years flip my left wrist slightly inside on the takeaway, so annoying as I lose connection with my upper body and have to compensate for this flaw on the way down. And what’s more I know I’m doing it 👍
@GoodGolfCoachingАй бұрын
Check out my takeaway video John and you will be fixed my friend.
@leemartin1122Ай бұрын
Ahh, so that's why I'm hitting slightly left.! Makes sense as my 4 wood shots (substitute driver) are booming dead straight but 7 iron goes left - so I guess I'm still getting slightly under ball with irons... 👍
@GoodGolfCoachingАй бұрын
Fantastic Lee - sounds like you’re owning your golf shots!

Are you saying "Let the clubhead take the divot with your release, and you dont try to take the divot with the right wrist cupped at impact with a forward shaft lean"" ? Will the impact be as powerful and controlled without being loose ? I am going to try that and check my smash factor. Leg action creates the rotation and not turning the hips...That was genius Stu. Never thought about this that way.. Also what is your view on ProSendr ? I thought it promotes cupped right wrist at impact for more compression.
@GoodGolfCoachingАй бұрын
Divot is not controlled by the swing, but simply the height of the swing and AoA doesn’t dictate divot. Will it make impact more powerful, all depends on what your swing needs. Hope that helps.
@vijeeeАй бұрын
@@GoodGolfCoaching should the right wrist cupped at impact or not ? The right wrist cannot be cupped without forward shaft lean . what is your advice ?
@GoodGolfCoachingАй бұрын
Ive explained where the lead wrist should be at impact in my videos, and shown mamy angles and demonstrations. Hope my videos give you clarity

Is it entirely necessary to constantly switch camera angles whilst delivering the narrative?

Yes it is 😊

In the braking phase, is there a sensation that the lead, top hand is slowing down/ stopping at a chosen point near the bottom of the arc?

Im a little confused about how this release works for an iron where u want a downward angle of attack. Makes sense for the driver where the ball is hit on the way up. Could you delineate this in more detail so we can see how this applies to both irons and drivers.
@GoodGolfCoachingАй бұрын
Hi Karen - absolutely, more coming on this. Just getting warmed up 😊
@ToraxRebornАй бұрын
What if you're releasing your so fast your clubhead is adding a tonne of loft? Do you just let it be and get fitted for a 6 degree driver? Or leave it the same as irons?
@GoodGolfCoachingАй бұрын
Then it may not be the ingredient you need to focus on ?
@thurlestonetennis2447Ай бұрын
If the club head accelerates past the hands at/near contact does this reduce the amount of compression? We are always told that we need to compress the ball against the turf, and turn our 8 iron into a 6 iron. Is this achievable with this release/braking pattern?
@GoodGolfCoachingАй бұрын
Compression comes from dynamic loft and not squeezing the ball into the turf. That absolutely does not happen. And yes, compression absolutely will be attained with this release pattern. Best wishes Stu
@irishticklesАй бұрын
Is the braking related to the shift of the hips stopping?
@GoodGolfCoachingАй бұрын
Definitely not.

Sorry but I think you are gonna confuse many golfers with this video. I suggest that you are gonna get a lot of “flippers” with your illustration. Angle of attack with irons can be very low yet with shaft lean a large reduction in dynamic loft can be attained. Compression with irons is the holy grail that most amateurs require but find so difficult to attain. Your welcome.

Respect your feedback of course but I disagree if you adopt my process to this point 😊
