Unfortunately bubbies swing has a huge flaw, it depends on his hands being in the same place or if they lag behind he blocks the ball right, to far ahead, snap hook or pull and going left. If bubbie ever wants to be consistent from 9 holes to the next he needs to change his swing, just aim properly, which he's done when garret or Grant told him in the past, naturally he brought the club down on the downswing and not over the top like he's doing now. Sure he will play some good golf and some bad golf but he could be doing far better, scratch even with his skills if he worked on short game

I love the way Cameron teaches. It's not about perfecting his student's swing. It's about creating consistency with the swing they have. Too many coaches try to fit all their students into their ideal, cookie cutter swing. Often times, they end up overcomplicating the golf swing, making it that much harder for their students to get better. Cameron isn't concerned with what is "ideal," though. He is more concerned about simplicity and efficiency. More coaches need to teach like him.

@kevinconnolly754 Жыл бұрын

@chosen1one930 Жыл бұрын
Unfortunately the swing bubbie has is anything but consistent. A over the top swing with him aiming 50 to 75 yards right at times depends on his hands being in the same place, if they lag behind he blocks the ball right with no draw, hands are in front, he hits a snap hook or starts to far left with a pull that continues going left. It's inconsistent from day to day and that's what he fights. Bubbie needs to get away from this swing and aiming so far right like he's done for as long as I can remember, when Garrett or Grant had him aim properly he naturally brings the club down on the down swing, if he would just continue to stay with that I truly believe bubbie could be scratch or better consistently. Of course he needs work with his short game, chipping mainly, keep the Texas wedge in his bag and practice on reading putts. That would be the best thing for him going forward and finding a swing that will be there from day to day, instead of trying to find something even though the smallest thing messes up his over the top swing.

If Bubbie is willing to give up his bad swing habits and get the fundamentals down he could be dangerously good! I feel he has the most potential of the 3 (him, Steve & Matt) to dramatically improve (not necessarily being the best of them) due to his athletic ability to really just move his body, he's in good shape. I personally struggle with the same problem Bubbie does in early hip extension/"standing up" and rotating the hips too late. I think Garrett had a problem with the latter during his lesson and he's been hitting it beautifully since he worked that out. Good luck all the GG boys with the grind! Hope everyone continues to improve 💪
@jordanaustin95 Жыл бұрын
@yukoncorneliusthelegendhim9751 I understand your point but I don't think you understood mine. What I said is not insulting to Matt or anyone else. I don't think Bubbie is better than Matt, I said Bubbie has the potential to improve more dramatically than others if he continued lessons bc he is missing more of the fundamentals in the golf swing. I don't agree with Bubbie's claim of "7 or 8" either, yes he's shot in the 70s but on a consistent basis I feel he averages closer to a 10-12.
@jordanaustin95 Жыл бұрын
@yukoncorneliusthelegendhim9751 no you didn't lol, but that's okay. I'm not talking about who has the higher ceiling etc. And Bubbie having the most potential to improve doesn't make him a better golfer than Matt. I also said that taking Matt and Steve's health into consideration bc the reality is they both have back problems. Hopefully that will continue to be less of an issue for them both.
