My cousins from Cleveland and I would have epic battles over calling it soda or pop. My brother and I always referred to it as soda in Pennsylvania. Though I think people in Pittsburgh also call it pop, but soda is definitely the superior choice.

We called them either "gym shoes" or "running shoes" and that was based on the tread. Smoother bottomed shoes were for the gym, while shoes with pronounced tread were called running shoes, since they were for outdoors type of sports and running. Sneakers works better for more casual not sporty shoes, atleast in my mind

I totally had one of those cable boxes that you had to press the buttons for the channel and then you had a switch to change the row of channels you wanted the button to go to. As in the first button would be for channel 1, 11 or 21 based on what position you had the switch on.

i work at an elementary school and yes the kids use the water fountains all the time! most of them are a little forgetful with their own water bottles and it’s a lot easier to just send them to the water fountain! also a lot of the newer ones have water bottle fillers
