Y’all might want to think about putting rubber grommets so the steel don’t damage the wire. If you need to make the hole nickel or quarter size. The lights will cover the holes. Use sealer if the back of lights don’t have a rubber seal. Because if you don’t use rubber grommets, I can guarantee that you’ll have problems down the road. Just saying. No one listens to me anyway 😝

In my opinion this is the best bus conversion I have seen on KZbin. Looking forward to seeing what you do with the dashboard too. Thank you for sharing, safe travels.

I wonder why you used screws rather than rivets on the outside of your new bus?

Hope Lastly you do need industrial truck or bus paint that they use on commercial vehicles or will not hold up for very long Dupont Emeron.😁 If you are only going to keep the bus for a year or two you can disregard my entire message.

Not only will adding the additional lighting look good, it should make the bus safer as well. Can't wait to see it completed! Going to be amazing! How much longer before you will be painting the outside? Excited to see the color that you all have chosen.

Wow wow I was shocked that the gauge of metal that you cut out the side of the bus.. is all of the body panels that same gauge thickness or was that piece just between the two rub rails... if the whole bus body panels are that thick that thing is a beast.... and by the way I started cracking up with the GoPro on the side of the paint can when you're shaking it I don't know why that struck me so funny but I thought this guy doesn't miss anything LOL

Have watched others raise a bus roof the way you did it was the easiest I have seen done and the quities
@mikeknutson4156 жыл бұрын
This comment supersedes the other comment... just out of curiosity I watched your movie again and noticed that thick metal plate actually came from the inner panel does that run full length on the bus as a crash barrier what is that they're for, curious... and by the way I like your background music
@TheBusLifeShow6 жыл бұрын
So that metal is on the inside of the bus. It goes from the floor up about 14”.
@jonettabates86386 жыл бұрын

Rub rail not drip edge but ok
@TheBusLifeShow6 жыл бұрын
No...it’s drip edge. They sit above the windows the entire length of the bus. 😉
@rajarose68596 жыл бұрын
The Bus Life yeah but the side things you guys where washing where rub rails
@TheBusLifeShow6 жыл бұрын
The things the kids were washing was the drip edge that we removed from above the windows.

Hope there is no cars or anything around when you paint the bus the wind will carry the overspray for a long ways and land on anything and dry may have some very upset neighbors

Some more expensive MH's have a mid marker connected to the turn signal so the little 4wheelers hiding in your blind spot can react. Once you drive something big that don't stop on a dime you begin to have different feelings about 4wheelers.
