I loved both the Crescent City books but I think why I loved 2 a bit more was getting to see more of the world, THE LAST PAGE! and I loved Ruhn's story in this one!

I love how you were shocked about Zodiac Academy 6 because the endings cliff hanger wasn't as devastating lol. I'm the opposite from you. I'm such a chicken with emotional endings that I bought the audio book for ZA7 when it came out and haven't listened to it yet because I was waiting for 8 to be released haha.

ZA Book 6 was amazing and the ending I think for people bumped it since it was a happier one. I agree with that you say about ZA. I read all 10 books that were out. (I'm counting The Prequel, The retelling of The Awakening, & The Big A.S.S. party in 10 days. It why I jumped into Ruthless Boys of the Zodiac and Parkmore Penitentiary so fast.

I think the higher you go up in a series, the more true fans who actually enjoy it will be the only ones continuing. Hence the more generous ratings. The first ones tend to get people who are on the fence to read it and then they give low ratings because it is not their cup of tea.

I think CC1 is rated lower cause the info dump, and I almost DNF if cause it was alot

See I didn’t really see it as an info dump. She dropped us right in and we had to figure it out versus telling lots of info we had to remember. But I’ve heard lots of people almost DNF because it was a lot of world to build
