I am always amazed by the love that I have for a family that I do not even personally know. I love everything about what you are accomplishing together as a couple, and as a family unit as a whole. The beauty of the simplicity of providing your family with these roots will extend to all of your future generations for many years to come. You are instilling valuable life lessons for your children to learn through your own actions of what a family is and how a family should function as a whole. I hold so much love in my heart for your family, because your actions speak so much louder than any words that you could ever say, of the values that you hold within you, and are lovingly instilling within your beautiful children. Sending much love 💕 light 🌠 prayers 🙏🏻 and an abundance of beautiful🌹blessings to you and all. 💕🌹💕🌹💕🌹💕🌹💕🌹💕🌹💕

Throw rugs are homey feeling. Especially if you put some in front of the entry doors to cut down on dirt tracks.
@firewaterbydesign2 жыл бұрын
@@fondoftheduh Absolutely!! I love them for various reasons. The first, and MOST important reason, was living at the Oregon beach, with 5 children, 2 large dogs and 5 goats!! Throw rugs can hide a myriad of mishaps on a very pale champagne colored carpeting!!! There are just some things that do NOT shampoo out, no matter how hard that you try!! They also help to keep the heavy traffic areas MUCH cleaner, because you can throw them in the washer as needed, while protecting your carpet or floors against dirt or scratches!! The least of these reasons why I love throw rugs so MUCH, is that they allow you to add little pops of color throughout your home as needed to add personality to your space and help to pull the colors within that area together. There are so many reasons why I love throw rugs, but these are my top reasons. They are just fun sometimes to add to a room, hallway, or wherever you feel the need. Sending love, light and beautiful blessings to you and all. 😊

@@firewaterbydesign thank you dear. I have used them to slide heavy furniture on but I discovered keeping peices of my laminate flooring upside down under furniture legs helps me to slide anything by myself easily to clean under. Idk if you still have that carpet but my sister in law has great luck using fabric dye in a spray bottle to change her carpet and some old chairs into bright clean colors. She used a dark blue and a green

Definitely a dream kitchen for a homesteader. Lots of storage for canning supplies and food. I know you all are beyond excited. The best part of watching families like yours on KZbin is seeing their self actualization of their dreams coming to fruition. I could see a shift in the expressions on everyone's face in this video that all the struggles are fading away into reality of dreams coming true.

Used to sell Sheraton kitchens here in the UK. The pull out corner units were always very popular. Once the worktop is on it's going to look amazing. You deserve this for all the hard work you have put in, not only on the house, but on all the great videos you have made for all of us. Thank you.

Sweet. My favorite part about building my log home was the cabinets. Took all winter to make dovetail drawers with soft close Blum. Started buying hickory but changed my mind as all logs are natural. Now accumulating walnut. Bloody expensive but will be worth it. No sawdust board at all.

Exactly, it is the laughter, the loud voices, the gathering together that will make it home. I have always said when my kids were growing up, it didn't matter where we were as long as we were together. Because within that feeling of togetherness, there is that feeling of safety and love.

A home is more than the looks for sure...The real definition of a home IMO is a place where related people can congregate and share their experiences with one another...Not always what many would say is unconditional love, it's a place to learn about listening as much as speaking with one another, giving and taking, warmth and sometimes, literally cold (gathering together will help keep the warmth). There are disagreements, hurt feelings at times, but these rare occasions are bookended by love...The dream of a home has already been realized by your family, again IMO...The better digs you are creating will allow you to expand that home so each has a little more space...You both can be so proud of this...Oh yes, more to keep clean too!!! Yah Bless... 😊😉 👍😎👍 🙏

Melissa, your sentiments about a home versus a house resonate so well with many of us. My wife and I have lived in 10 different locations since we got married. We are within a year of building our forever home. You give me lots to think about and great feedback about what works and what doesn’t work and why you decided to do what you did. The smile on Melissa's face was so beautiful as you watched your kitchen come together. I remember that excitement when the cabinets went into the house my ex husband and I were building. Sadly that house never became home, but that's a story for another time. After all osc f your planning and hard work you are seeing fruits of your labor come to life. The life you are making for your children is something that many people can only dream of doing. The important thing is that a house is just a house. It is the people and the love they share that make it a home. It is my wish that you have many years of love and laughter. That your children and grandchildren always know love is waiting for them inside.
