You're so right about things working out as they are supposed to. A little over 23 years ago I quit a job I'd worked at for 12 and a half years. Everyone said I was nuts and it was a struggle for many years after, but eventually I reached a personal goal I had previously set aside when I married and had kids. Ever since I was a kid I wanted to be an author. There were many detours between quitting my job and finally finding a publisher that shared my vision for my books, but I arrived.

I politely suggest YOU need to grow up. Freedom of religion was and remains a core tenet of our freedoms in this country. An important part of God's plan for us is agency. Sadly, some misuse this to harm others, impacting their agency; these are the 'sins' most condemned throughout holy writ. Additionally, even Jesus said in the New Testament that sometimes bad things happen to good people for no real reason. (see Luke 13:1-5) Sadly, this important principle for our growth as children of our Heavenly Father means that life is not always fair. Hence, the teaching that God will recompense accordingly in the eternities. But you, my friend, can continue to choose to insult, and belittle those who choose to believe in God, of course. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

And yes, as a small statured person, you will definitely prefer an upright freezer. Lifting the lid on a chest freezer takes a surprising amount of room. If you're in tight quarters, or the chest freezer is along a walkway, the top begins to collect stuff which means clearing the top before lifting it too; and this means that frozen food in hand you have to put that stuff back on top of the freezer lid or commit to walking around it on the floor (or putting that stuff somewhere else whethernit has a proper home or not).

You are so right.. your words of wisdom are right on point. I have always said "everything happens for a reason" (I even got it tattooed on my arm after my house fire in 2021) and what happens to us makes us stronger in the end. An it seems good always comes from the bad. It's just making way for better things but us as humans, see losing a job or a house as a bad thing. But in reality something better comes from the bad.. God bless you guys and everything you are doing for all these families!

I always enjoy your videos but the commentary at the end of this one hit me! We have been in the waiting mode for a solid week for our granddaughter Emma to have open heart surgery. This will be her second as she had congenital heart defect that was corrected at 13 days old. She and her family were all set for surgery on Monday 9/26. They were to go to Houston on Friday 9/23 for her pre-op visit but just before they were to depart they got that dreaded call. She was postponed due to another child needing emergency surgery. So Wed. 9/29 was the next date, and they headed to Houston for the pre-op visit on Tues. and were all set. Then another emergency which then postponed to Thurs., which was then postponed to Friday with a different surgeon and surgical team. Yay Friday, we got her all checked in at the hospital in the surgical floor - it’s finally happening… only to be told that the ICU is full and they aren’t able to handle any more patients. We left so defeated, yet hopeful! Now she is scheduled for Monday 10/3 - her 14th birthday. We had prayed and hoped that this wouldn’t be her day. But for now it looks like it will be. So what actually didn’t work out for Emma, we are praying is actually going to work out. The surgeon will not be on call on Monday so no emergency cases. ICU typically empties out over the weekend as there are no “scheduled” surgeries on the weekend and patients get moved to a room. We are hopeful and praying she gets this much needed surgery completed so we can celebrate this truly remarkable girl’s 14th birthday and her amazing life! God is good and faithful! Maybe these delays have redirected us to this path where there is least resistance to accomplishing the end goal… a healthy heart and a long life for our girl! ❤❤❤

I love watching all the house stuff but my favorite part of this whole video is the homemade seesaw that the kids are playing on. 🥰

I know you guys don't want to hear about new projects but... Have you considered installing a greenhouse? The right size greenhouse would allow you to plant your leafy veggies and root veggies like carrots about a month earlier. This could get you two crops within a year on those. You could also start your tomatoes, peppers and other flowering vegetables. This would also open up parts of the garden for other plants or more of what you already plant.

Make sure door is open when using washer and or dryer. Reason is you could find mold if door is shut when you continually in used.

One thing you might need to watch for is to make sure that the washer is balanced during the spin cycle. If it is not, it might move around a little and it could get in behind the door if it is closed.

Jeremy, I appreciate how analytical you are when you describe your tasks/projects. I know you were in law enforcement but you may have a career in engineering. LOL! Or, it may be a cultural thing or specifically how you were raised. God bless your parents! The Family is where it's at! Keep it up brother! May God continue to bless you and your family, and Mama Mary bless you!

Another great video of the home project. There should have been a plastic flange faceplate for the laundry washing machine outlet box. Or, perhaps someone is planning to build a custom one!

Even though the freezer is wrecked, you might want to measure it to see if it is going to fit okay with door opening, etc.

I have a chest freezer & upright, no comparison! I like the chest freezer SO much better. For the size, it Holds twice as much. The thing about a custom home is you can make the dryer vent wall thicker/deeper for the ducting if it needs to go in it OR you create a recess for the dryer vent so the dryer doesn't stick out. My SIL just blt a new house & the dryer sticks way out- shld have asked me...

Silly question❓❓ why not load or leave the stuff in the trailer then just back the trailer to the house. This would save your back walking across the stone driveway. I do something different with my shower curtain. I take two clear plastic over flap the center about 4 hook holes. This really helps keep the water in the tub. You can still use the fancy curtain on the outside

Hoping that freezer is a quick switch after a bit of a drive and of course a stop by the bakery. Upright will fit nicely though there are organizing baskets on railings available for chests. Defrost is the real issue in a pantry. You can always add another chest in your barn, where you insulated in the future. The place is looking great and that shower curtain reminds me of Alaska. Home stretch and glad the pup can have a nice transition into a comfortable home he can share with the kids. What's up about your wood burning stove? Necessary as fall will turn to winter quickly. Thanks for sharing

Melissa you are right about things not working out as they are supposed to it is for a reason. I love how your two youngest made their see-saw on top of the wood pile. Children are very inventive. You both have come far. Sorry that your fridge/freezer was damaged. Today the courier companies are not careful with goods. Have a great day.

The most important thing about freezers is to get one that you manually defrost. A frost free freezer will ruin your frozen items (long term).
