It could be the algorithm overlords, or that FaB is actually gaining traction, either way I love seeing all this FaB content lately! As someone brand spanking new to the game it's awesome to see.

The hand and resource mechanics in this game brought me back to TCGs when I thought I was going to be out altogether. Set design has continued to impress me as it first did when I started around Uprising. Always love to see the game getting more coverage!

Finally, an intro video that isn't 3 hours long! The overall explanation is so helpful, too many KZbinrs go into every tiny detail which can be overwhelming when you're just trying to get a sense of the game. Also I'm so glad to see a woman promoting FAB!

About a year ago someone told me that Flesh and Blood was “dying”. Their evidence? Because “only 11 people play it in london, which is a city of 8 million people”. He failed to explain how he knew how many people played a game in a given city. One of the most ridiculous things I’ve ever read. Anyway, glad to see this video and to see FAB continue to go from strength to strength.

The game is incredible, but it is very expensive and difficult to find both cards, decks, and players. At least here in Spain.
@NinoMit872 ай бұрын
Some of the best players and even one of the best teams in the world (Sunflower samurai) come from Spain. So there must be a community around. Or are you from a small town and is it only in the capitol cities?
@f5xs7572 ай бұрын
What he said, Sunflower Samurai has Pablo Pintor, regarded by the founder (J. White) as one of the best if not the best players of the game. Also, you should be able to find stores near you in fabtcg's store locator

I have never played before but if both players didn't get to draw up to hand size at end of first turn 2nd player would be so far behind if they used any cards for defense it seems to me
@brettdeadrick5242 ай бұрын
You would be correct. Depending on the hero you choose going second allows you to fix your hand and or going first may allow you to set up a board state.. again it depends on who you are playing with and who you may be playing against....by allowing for the second (defending)player to draw up just on the first turn it keeps the game even.

I played it online and this game is def not fun. It's more of a resource management game than a "duel" fight game (like MTG)
@nightcatarts9 күн бұрын
Umm not really? It's just that the cards can be used to pay for cards a la mana alongisde also being creatures, instants, etc. Some decks revolve around pitching cards to pay for other cards, but other decks give you a lot of free stuff instead; each character plays differently.
@Novica898 күн бұрын
@@nightcatarts What i mean is: lets say, in MTG, you know very fast what your best move is going to be based on how much mana you currently have and you can make combinations easily. In FAB, you're like if I play this card, it doesnt have go again and i will only be able to play that one, but if i play that one, it has go again, but i dont have enough mana as my other cards that i need to pitch for it are all red bla bla bla... It is so tedious to figure out and maximize your turn with the 3 different card colors with different pitch values, having to get resources from pitching, rather than just having constant mana etc etc... Takes all the fun away. However, The idea of a "duel" TCG in this way with weapons and armor etc is really cool. But the pitching is a terrible way of generating resources imho
@nightcatarts8 күн бұрын
@@Novica89 There are more colours in Magic.. It really sounds as though you were playing a complex pitch deck though & would have a much better time with one that doesn't make such common use of it. The mechanic is intended as a risk/reward system where you have to pick the best combination of cards in the best order per turn, in addition to holding something back with which to block. It's a lot more tactical on a per-turn basis than Magic is, & whole-deck strategies matter far less.
