@@straw-hat-iicy No but as far as I'm aware, each episode of "Tales from the Dream SMP" is set on a different server than the Dream SMP; the series is also known to feature guests that are not officially members of the SMP, such as Corpse who appeared in the wild west episode.

It could also be a confidence thing, depending on when in his career it was. I know for a fact that if I were ever to do something like that, my voice would be similar to bdubs 2010 voice in that it’d be kinda slow and hesitational for a long time before it got better

I live just across the river in Portland and sometimes I’m confused by Washington as well, I just don’t think it’s the same reason as you possibly

I think it’s because a lot of people here like to pretend they’re southern and sometimes genuinely believe they are 😂. You run into a lot of them in the western part of the state, which really doesn’t make any sense. When you travel to eastern Washington it makes a bit more sense because of how rural some parts are… but still. It’s easy to pick up on it too and do it unintentionally, especially when you are putting on a voice 😭

a lot of people in the countryside of eastern washington have a rural accent! not as pronounced as southern rural accents though :) i think it just depends on the communities you’re surrounded by

@@chandeloon oh yeah definitely! I was mainly talking about the full on country accents, and especially in the western part of the state and in the suburbs. It makes sense if some people have moved from elsewhere, but at the high school I went to there were a lot of my peers that would put on whole personas. Working in retail too, I got to see some interesting adults that did this too, that also had only ever lived there. I try not to assume too much, but it is a pretty interesting phenomenon that people may not notice if they are just visiting. I did live in an interesting area, but saw this in a lot of the mostly non rural and well populated areas, such as pierce and king county
