I have the same turntable. Bought it new in 79? It's been in a closet for 25 years. Started it up and pitch was all over the place. That's how I found your videos. When I saw you take apart the pitch wheel, I had an idea. So, I moved the wheel back and forth a hundred times. Pitch stays dead on now! Thanks for your content.

Sweet! Regularly exercising that pitch control may keep it running without needing to hit it with contact cleaner.

I bought the SL-D3 new for about $100.00. Today, I see them on Ebay go for a lot more. It's a very sought-after turntable. I'd like to know if there's a way to change the RCA cable in it. It looks like the cables are integrated in there with plugs only on the side that goes to the amp.

There is a way to change them, but it’s very unique to each turntable. If you watch one of my repair videos (or any other that shows an RCA cable replacement), you should get the gist of how to do it. Otherwise, go to either Audiokarma or Vinyengine, sign up, and create a forum post for specific guidance.

I've very happy to have purchased a Technics SL-D3, but I found the pitch adjustment is very touchy. Do you think deox would help this?

Hello. Nice videos. I have same turn table and the on/off button is not working right. It stays down when pressed. Any idea how to fix it? Thank you.

I'd recommend you start a thread on audiokarma or hifiengine...lots of folks there to steer you in the right direction.

Hello. I have one of those turntables. Unfortunately, I live in Europe and the device is 110v. What would happen if I tried to operate it on 220v? I couldn't find any information on whether another transformer was manufactured for the device. Would it work, or would it break down immediately and permanently?

Bad things could happen. They sell transformers (step up/down) for this purpose.
