You have taught me so much, and I really appreciate you and your experience. I recently lost ,Michael, my life partner. With fear of the future, and how I was going to support myself. Almost by accident, I found myself watching thrifting videos. That is where I met you. I decided to stick my tow in the water, and have sold several items, on Marketplace. After I purchase a new car, I would like to travel to Landcaster. Hopefully, I will run onto you. So, now I am in my own home and beginning my new career reselling. Again Karen, I want to thank you for all you have taught me. You have also made me believe I can really make it on my own. I've sold motorcycle parts on eBay since October 2013, but after I started watching your channel I created a separate eBay store and started going to thrift stores and garage sales and buying housewares and other things like you do. I've learned a lot about clothing and hard goods watching you and have been pretty impressed with the results. For example, I sold a ceramic greyhound statue I found at Goodwill for over $100 that I only paid $5 for. This new store is only a fraction of my six-figures parts business so far, but I only devote about 15 hours a month to it so the profit to time ratio is very high. You're a real sweetheart, Karen! Blessings to you!

Great video, I wish my goodwill was as big and crowded. The teapot floral glass paperweight isn’t millefiori. The word means thousand flowers, so it’s the glass with countless tiny flowers made with bundles of glass rods cut at a cross section to create the intricate millefiori designs. The teapot may be a ring holder and looks a lot like a St Claire piece who made similar designs. May see the mark which is usually stamped into the bottom on the pontil mark but can be really lightly impressed and tough to make out.

what has been really frustrating for me is the thrift stores in my area ( wayne nj) are very expensive and not very large. I try to buy but there is not much room to be competitive. I learn from your videos but just cant snag things for the prices you find. I finally found one thrift that has prices like the stores in your area ( they tell me I am their best customer) but now it is closed for the summer. Im thinking of maybe doing thrift stores in the PA area but driving an hour and half just to shop a store is really gagging me. I think a lot of success and supply is very regional and some parts of the country are absolute honey holes while other parts are barren like a desert.

What a great video Karen! Always enjoy your hunts but this one was especially good, I learned so much! I was going back and forth checking prices on some of your items and you did great! Will have to keep an eye out for the Pulitzer and Cuddledown (the Pulitzer website pictures are so beautiful, I may have to get some of her lavender infused booties), and the prices you paid, wow! Our prices went up after they opened up but it seems to me that one store, unfortunately the one closest to me, is even higher, like "most coffee cups .99 cents unless otherwise marked". NONE of them were 99 cents the last time I was in and one cute cup that I would have bought even at the higher price was so horribly stained I brought it up to the cashier who immediately put it aside. it was disgusting! not sure how that got by someone. Anyhow, great video, as always! Glad you had a good trip and raring to go again, I felt the same after 4 days on the CA beach!
