Hi Jocelyn, The white glass creamer bearing the painted red flower flourish is a Corning introduction of a pattern originally attributed to Macbeth-Evans of Charleroi, Pennsylvania. Macbeth-Evans’ ‘Petalware.’ pattern was first introduced in 1930, the painted Petalware pieces are known as the ‘Florette’ pattern introduced in the 1940’s after Corning took over Macbeth-Evans in 1937. The special semi-transparent white glass formula of the original 1930’s introduction was called ‘Monax’ and was developed by Macbeth-Evans originally for glass lighting fixtures. It’s interesting to note that Macbeth-Evans commenced as a producer of glass for lighting fixtures and scientific equipment and only started to produce glass tablewares in the 1920’s. You will notice the plates are devoid of decorations and are semi-transparent as opposed to the other more opaque pieces - these plates predate the other pieces and are examples of the original 1930’s Macbeth-Evans ‘Petalware’ pattern. @@cynthiafisher9907 Hello Ms. Fisher, Indeed they are lovely pieces, so incredibly delicate and thin. Petalware was first introduced in crystal (clear) and a very pale pink. Later, all-over fired-on colours were introduced as well as a transparent cobalt blue. When Corning took over Macbeth-Evans in the late 1930’s porcelain tablewares were in vogue and threatened to eclipse glass tablewares. In an effort to compete with porcelain Corning tweaked the original Monax glass formula to produce a pale ivory coloured glass that mimicked porcelain but was stronger and more economical. The resultant formula was christened ‘Ivrene’ back then and now referred to as ‘Cremax’ among glass collectors. Over two decades in production, the very successful Petalware line saw many different embellishments including rings of fired-on colours to their edges, 22 karat gold designs, birds, flowers and even a Christmas motif. Wishful thinking but perhaps the Petalware pieces will still be on the shelves when Jocelyn revisits? 🙂

I don’t care for Pioneer Women merchandise, but have her cookbooks. Pier 1 was a favorite store of mine and own quite a bit from there. I shopped there monthly. I wouldn’t say either be in the category of vintage though.

A fake coach will have the C's Pattern on inside and outside of purse, If the bag has a solid color on inside and c pattern outside and the hardware isn't cheap light or shiny should be good quality and the zipper like butter ZZZ hope this helps!

Those plastic hands are actually for tossing salad! I had a really fast skittish chipmunk in my basement! We figured it must have ran in while the back door was open. It took us 2 days to get it in a DIY live trap.

That bowl or ashtray with the horse and rider you picked up at about 3:19 was or contains lead and mercury. They used to be very popular and my grandparents had several they picked up during their travels. We were always told "do not eat or drink from those or you could die". As a child I wouldn't go near them because I thought it would kill me lol.

Recently I spent some time with my 15yr old grandson so, we decided to share each other's KZbin Shows. Joselyn we just had 2 possums under my moms house - put cat food in a trap and you will get it and can relocate it - you do need to find where it came in or you will end up with one again :-)

Possums are good animals to have around. They eat bugs and trash and anything dead so if you have a problem with anything they will eat it

You could use another peice of stoneware or a metal file to rub that chip down on the vase so it would be less obvious. Or put a dab of clear nail polish. Nothing would be perfect but less obvious

At 3.09, a Vintage Japanese Porcelain Ware Brass Encased Bowl Decorated in Hong Kong was overlooked. Those have sold on CLL previously about $30+/-. Sometimes they are labeled 'Overjoy'

At the 54 second mark of the video there are several mugs made by Corning Correlle. The pattern is called First of Spring. EACH mug sells for between $7-10 on Replacements. Think that pattern was only made for one, maybe two years and was then retired.

I would encourage your possum to stick around. Possums are CUTE and their favorite food is bugs. I like anything that eats bugs, especially ticks. Possums are murder on ticks. I like that in a critter.
