I was surprised that there is such a platform as Amstrad PCW. And what surprised me less was the music from the ZX Spectrum and Amstrad CPC - both platforms have the AY-3-8910 chip

The CGA version was one of the first games I played as a kid, it left a huge impression on me. I feel it aged well overall. I did learn of the Amstrad version, I love the palette on that system and think that version looks the best. I also suspect it was the primary platform for Opera. I did not know about the MSX versions, they look good too, but not quite as good as Amstrad in terms of color in my opinion.

Amstrad forever¡! Amstrad CPC was The first developed versión for many of Opera games.

I bet the CGA version could be patched for CGA composite to get similar color to the Amstrad version, in the similar manner Commander Keen 4 was patched.

Bueno, terminando la guardia, y esperando validaciones, hago comentario del video. Un clásico de opera llevado de la mano de Gonzo, muy buen talento solo hay q ver que todas lsa versiones las hicieron ellos, y la de MSX2, flipante , pasaría por un juego de steam "retro", hoy en dia. DEspues de opera, estuvo gonzo en pyro , gestionando el commandos, y luego ya poco se sabe. Sabías que hay una versión en spectrum pero a todo color? es posible incluso que la programaran, pero lo descartaron por el color clash, en computerEmuzone, está la version de spectrum hecha por un colaborador, tiene buena pinta. Lo rejugué en el pc, en CGA pero me mataban la paleta de colores, si no era VGA, no podía ni verlo, ya me convertí en sibarita a los 14 años Xd. 1. MSX2 2. Amstrad 3.Spectrum Todas las versiones son muy jugables, como anecdota, en las versiones con mejor definición , si le das la vuelta al sofá, es un culo en toda regla Xd. tambien otra anecdota es posible que sean las conversiones, es decir, si te fijas en el reloj , solo en amstrad y msx2 , marcan las 2 y media, en el resto las 4, gonzo hacía muchas conversiones de juegos a MSX y PC.

Jamás volveré a ver el sillón de Goody de la misma forma... Jajaja. Muy interesantes esas curiosidades que comentas. Estoy de acuerdo, la versión de MSX2 me parece muy lograda y se sitúa también en la primera posición de mi ranking. Me alegra ver que los usuarios de MSX recibieron una conversión digna y no un mero "lazy port" de Spectrum. Me pasaba lo mismo que tú con los juegos de PC. Si no eran VGA no quería no verlos. Un fuerte abrazo y descansa un poco 😘

Well, from the title screen, you are going to expect the game to be a poor spectrum port, but it's an actuall original msx version.

¿Te puedes creer que no lo había probado hasta ahora? Al que más jugué de Opera Soft en su momento fue al Livingstone Supongo en PC... No avanzaba casi nada, pero me encantaba, jaja.

@@retrosutra Pasaba con todos los.juegos de spectrum, no avanzabas casi nada pero los ponias a cargar y te liabas mientras con otra cosa para teeminar de nuevo enganchado al rato. Goody fue un juegazo, paso lo mismo con phantomas, otro juegazo. Epoca dorada del software donde UK y España se comian el mundo. Hay que recordar todos los clasicos, top el video. Te recomiendo Retro virtual machine creando un spectrum +2 para estos casos, esta muy bien lograda y es muy immersiva a la hora de hacer videos, se puede ver hasta el cassete. Muy buen video amigo, lo retro hay que recordarlo y dejar constancia de que hubo un momento en que los graficos importaban poco.

Me alegra mucho que hayas disfrutado del vídeo. Recuerdo con añoranza esa época, donde la creatividad y la exigente jugabilidad se sobreponían a las las limitaciones gráficas de los sistemas del momento... Hablando de juegazos, aún conservo todos los cassettes que tenía de niño: Capitán Trueno, Phantomas 2, Game Over, Abu Simbel Profanation, Viaje al Centro de la Tierra... ¡Qué recuerdos! Conozco el Retro Virtual Machine, aunque como no es posible conseguir ese "estilo retro" con todos los sistemas, prefiero mostrar el metraje sin filtro. Actualmente estoy usando FS-UAE para emular Amiga que diría que es más sencillito y da buenos resultados también, pero le echaré un vistazo al vídeo que me pasas. ¡Gracias y un fuerte abrazo!
