I've played this literally dozens of times these past few weeks during which I've being going through tough times healthwise and it's cheered me up no end. I only wish I could 'like' it a thousand times. I know Ross is now considered the "star" but I marvel at Tim's playing on the melodeon more and more - it's outstanding.

I was lucky enough to see Charlie and Friends on Friday evening in Perth. It was electrifying. One of the benefits of living in Scotland is that you often get the opportunity to see world class folk musicians up close, but these guys were on another level and really pushed themselves (and their instruments) to the limit. I like everything about gigs like this, the performances, the atmosphere among the audience, the warm anecdotes between songs. Its a tremendous way to spend an evening, and is almost always exceptional value for money. If you get the opportunity to see these guys live do yourself a favour and get along to the show. Even if folk music isnt your cup of tea normally, youll still be blown away by the sheer talent.
