Google Analytics 4 data import || Import ad cost data to GA4

If you run ads on multiple non-Google networks (e.g. Facebook, Bing, etc.), you might want to have their data in Google Analytics (e.g. impressions, clicks, cost, etc.).
In this tutorial, I will show you how to import ad cost data to Google Analytics 4 from a CSV file.

I know this is about cost data, but would you have info on campaign data? It seems the imported field don't fully align with Google's Analytics fields, is there a work around? Is there a way to add or edit the Google Analytics field when mapping??

Thanks for providing this tutorial, Julius! Have you tested the GA4 offline event data import functionality yet? Do you think that would work for importing ecom refund events? I haven't found any documentation about it but I assume it'd be possible though I don't know how the resulting data will behave in reports within the UI. It's frustrating that GA4 doesn't have a refund data import option like UA had. Feel free to do a video on GA4 ecom refund event tracking and the possibility of importing refund data as offline events via data import next! ;)

Is there a way to format the date field to read a date range, rather than only 1 date? For example, "date start 3/1/2023" "date end 3/20/2023" so I don't have to manually pull each day's worth of data? It seems not worth it to use this function at all if I have to manually pull a report from Facebook 30 times to get each day's worth of data each month.

Hello, Would you happen to know a work around for using a cutom data import in ga4? In universal you could select a "Custom data" type. This does not seem to be the case with the options GA4 gives you for data types. I used the custom data type to import form names relating to form ID's from Hubspot forms. How would i do this in GA4?

Any troubleshooting tips on fixing the match rate? I've never successfully gotten any % to match, it's always 0%. When I use the data explorer it always looks to match up.
