Hi Luc. Firstly, thank you for the updated video for 2024 on GBP. In chapter 3 (Selecting Business Type) of your video, I can see on top, ""Select all that apply". In my case we visit customers, customers visit us and we sell online. Q.1) Can we select all options? Q.2) Can we change the business type in an old listing; for instance, from Local store to Online retail. If yes, how? I'm not able to figure out the edit section.

Q1) hi Shariq. You Should be able to select all options during the creation process Q2) No, the online option is not available once the listing is created but it has no impact on your listing. I believe this option was only added as part of the process to deter people who are trying to claim a business profile but only operate online

Hi Luc! Is it true that clearing the address of GMB will drop my rankings or wont even rank? Is showing street address always better than clearing them? It also seems like there's no way to put them on citations since there will be no street address..

Based on various tests it would appear that removing your address from your listing will indeed cause your listing to drop. You can however build citation without showing an address if you wish, certain directories do allow the option. Absolutely. One Google listing per location (as long as the locations fit within Google's guidelines) and a dedicated page on your website for each location so you can link your profile to dedicated pages

If your business operates by providing services at customers' locations (such as home visits), you should avoid listing an address in your Google listing. Doing so violates Google guidelines and could result in your listing being suspended, even though many businesses still do it. Additionally, using virtual office addresses is also against Google's guidelines.

If you have a physical address where customers can visit then yes, you can choose physical store. Just make sure that when you claim your google listing this is the address you'll use to verify it

Thank you for this information. The struggle is real for small business. Google is asking for the video in real-time. It does not allow you to pre-record and upload. I've been going through this process on my laptop. I'm a Android user, and I don't know how to get into Business Profile Manager from my phone. You need to use your address to claim a listing but you don't need to show it. Just set your profile as a service area business

Do you make in person contact with customers? If you don't you're technically not eligible for a listing. A google business profile is for "local" businesses To change a physical store to a service area store you'll just need to remove the address from the listing and set service areas

Don't use a virtual office, it's against Google's guidelines and your listing will likely get suspended. Just use your home address and make sure your listing is set up as a service area business

It will depend on the competition. 2.5 k seems reasonable enough but if there are dozens of other businesses offering the same service as you within the same radius it will be tough. Also, is your business a physical location or a service area type of business?

I have moved and could not send them a video have given them links to KZbin and short vids and everything (the building is to big to catch it all on vid in a timely way). I think it is a huge breach in safety to ask videos of entering and business doings btw. Should there be any crazy riots, and things in the future they are going to blast through all the doors easily with mental jail staffs usually working everywhere.

Neither phone verification, nor texting, nor postcard is available anymore to become verified, only business video verification in the united states, you video shows that you are not in the US, and their cam software sucks, you cant zoom in or it gets really blurry, the secret here is to add your business through google maps FIRST, then it will give you the authority to add the business

Wrong! Google still gives the option to verify a listing through different methods. Although video verification has become the default option, other methods are still available. Adding your business through Google Maps first makes zero difference.
