Google Chromecast with Google TV how to set up in your car !!!

Yes you can set up the new chromecast with google tv in your car with an HDMI input and screens in the back seats.
I am using my Dodge Durango which has 2 screens and 2 HDMI inputs.
Simpler and easy setup than previous gen chromecast, all you need is
a car with HDMI/Screens
car power adapter preferably 9W
USB C cable and
wifi hotspot on your phone.

Can I use a usb to hdmi adapter to use in the car usb slots ?

Not sure if that will work, is it a usb-c to hdmi adapter? it has to be capable of transmitting video.

May I know how do u input wordings or find youtube contents that u wish to watch due to it doesn't have interface on the car's screen correct?

You can use the google assist button on the chromecast remote to search.

I’m not sure about the power requirements of the chromecast device, can i just put any car charger for powering the chromecast ?

I am not sure for other cars but in Durango there is a household outlet in the second row. That's what I used.

I am not 100% sure if that will work, depends on if its usb C that can handle video. I never tried that. if its regular USB i dont think it will work. Thanks

i haven't tried controlling via remote but can give it a try. Easier to control via car volume.

What usb power supply are you using? When i plug mine in it wants 7.5 or over. Most usb cigarette usb's are arou d 5

Tried this on my MUX with HDMI input but not showing in my overhead screen

Sorry not familiar with MUX, you might have to look in the manual if there are any specific settings for overhead screen.
