The issue regarding the sync can be solved in amazon fire stick audio sync settings. No issue for me BUT there's a bug regarding the voice navigation in google maps, unfortunally it's muted. For other sides, the device work like a Charm.

Yes, I mentioned it. You will need to tether with your phone. Same as with any regular dongle box.

Good/bad. Doesn't support Android phone regardless of what directions say. However I added a splitter to go from Firestick to Android phone. It's awesome.

Now if only those Amazon Fire sticks are more open tho. Last time I tried jailbreaking a Fire stick it only ended up with the kamakiri hack failing because it ran on a newer and more hack-resistant firmware. Clearly Amazon is adamant at protecting their bottom line lul

All these Ottocast devices, like this one, have a sound problem. I ordered two different kinds from Ottocast, and the sound keeps muting every few minutes. I wouldn't buy them if I were you. Plus, when the GPS talks through the speaker, it crackles and pops.
