A lot of work went into this video so well done. One area that is incorrect is that OneDrive can only share files with Microsoft users, when in fact you can share with anyone. I can share files to any user as long as they have an email address.

I think the receiver need the onedrive app on a phone/tablet to open, and maybe an account, but not to a PC.

I use Onedrive, old account so 15GB free, because it has the best handling for me as a photo backup, one HDD as main photo library in my PC and back up to onedrive folder located on a separate physical HDD so it automatically upload. I have the same folder structure as I use in Lightroom. First of all I have the family subscription so 20€/year/user for the complete office 365 and 1 TB cloud space. In addition to this I buy an extra 600 GB for 5€/m. The one drive app on ipad and iphone works flawlessly and is fast and I directly see if a folder is empty or not. I tried the 2TB dropbox but for photos it didn't reach onedrive. Dropbox was better for getting the share link than onedrive. I don't have enough experience of google drive but at work it usually freeze my computer for 10-20 seconds if a mail contain a google drive link while it's contacting the server. Google drive would be 50€ more/year, yes for 400GB more, and I'd be stuck with googles docs and spreadsheet apps.

I am sorry, but this seems a bit biased. Microsoft's OneDrive is the best value among the 3 here. First, you can share files with anyone just like the other two. OneDrive gives you top notch security with virus scanning. You also get Personal Vault. This is a second lay of security for more sensative documents. When you get Personal or Family, you are getting a full 1TB of storage and 50GB for email. For the family plan, each person get 50GB email and 1TB of storage. That crushes Google 100%. Google counts everything against your storage. With Microsoft Personal or Family, you get the full office suite in the cloud and to install. And yes! You can share with anyone just like the other two. I could go on. I honestly disagree with this review. As a Linux and Mac user, I am big enough to say that Microsoft is the clear winner here.

Amazon usually has Microsoft 365 6TB(1 TB per user) for $50-60 around Christmas time. Its a good deal thats nearly half off!

I recently was feeling annoyed by Dropbox, because while it satisfies me, synching all the files between my Desktop PC and my laptop, I hate how many entries there are whenever I press the right mouse button on a file or folder. Tons of features, of which I only ever user the online/offline options. Its a long list of menu options as it is for me, and it feels so awful to have a majority of them be "for nothing". I was told that Dropbox will not allow me to disabled these menu items. I'm stuck with them... I look for alternatives. Is Google Drive better in this regard, or , or should I think of something else?

Thanks for making this video and yet I think there's more exploration and fact checking needed. I feel that the comparisons are incomplete and even misleading. Other commenters have listed some of the specifics. Some that I'm aware of are no mention that emails and attachments and some other things count towards the "generous" 15 GB on the Google drive free plan - So the 15 GB could be used up just by that. Also despite Google saying that it handles all of the Microsoft office file formats, it sort of doesn't. (Just about a week ago I used google drive to open a MS word document that someone shared with me in Google drive and google gave me an error message saying that the file contains some features that were not supported). That's for mentioning that one drive has a feature for scanning and uploading documents even multi-page documents. Dropbox also has that feature, as well as ability to send documents for e-signing and lots of other features that I don't personally need or use. It's actually difficult to know when to stop writing about this video because there's several other things that I think are less than accurate or fair. I'm actually using all three cloud storage services (dropbox, google drive, onedrive) and have done for several years. When I create a document I think about the situation and who I need to share it with and decide which service meets the need best. Google drive is my least preferred, but necessary for dealing with those google documents that other people create and share with me. I suppose Microsoft is not doing a very good job of marketing their web apps - and letting people know that they can set up a free Microsoft account where they can create and edit and collaborate on documents in word and Excel and etc etc on the web, Just as easily as doing similar things in Google docs or Google sheets (and that the Microsoft formatted documents are portable to more users than the Google formatted documents)

I'm a simple guy and want just the basics. Can you give me any reason for dropbox to be better than one drive and Google drive? Why should I likely choose it? See, I have a windows PC and a hotmail/msn email. So automatically I have onedrive baked into the PC. I have an android phone so automatically I have a Gmail (this KZbin account linked to it) and Google drive. I don't really need these drives in my daily use. But I have them. What could be any valid reason to select dropbox?

I don't use Onedrive. but when I work with a big company very secure they usually use onedrive . I always ask why they use Onedrive instead of Google Drive. I think one drive is best because the document is very sensitive In that case we are looking for security and space. One drive gives all that stuff more than Google........
