First I laughed hard at this comment and then I cried thinking about how much time I wasted implementing google services in my apps that got canceled (realtime multiplayer and matchmaking hit me the hardest). But looking how well it's integrated with AdSense and how much money can be made I doubt that maps will be killed anytime soon.

Razurac the Dragon The biggest issue for me is probably that new apps usually only work on new platforms. Google Maps still works on Nokia, even though it hasn't been updated since 2008, according to the copyright information. I'm sure a new application wouldn't be released for it.

The opening picture and again at 3:10 is the Welcome Monument in Jakarta, Indonesia. In the upper right is the Grand Hyatt and in the lower left is the Mandarin Oriental Hotel. I've stayed at each maybe a dozen times. Sunday mornings they close the road for walking and biking. Good memories.
